HISTORY

UNMEI NIHONGO TUTORIAL CENTER derived its name from the Japanese word unmei which means Destiny. The Japanese generally believes that nothing that happens in life is accidental. The concept of destiny dictates that things happen for a greater purpose and when one discover such purpose, everything falls into place as pre-planned. In the same way, UNMEIs business is to be of service to those who are destined to be its clients. The UNMEI concept was borne out of the need of Filipino students for quality yet affordable Nihongo tutorial service that fits to their present way of living. UNMEI was founded by passionate Nihongo students and teacher Who have one thing in common A deep sense of commitment to uplifting the Filipinos Japanese language proficiency.

HISTORY

Fast-paced modern living makes formal, long-term language learning UNAFFORDABLE in terms of TIME and MONEY. On April 2009, the UNMEI concept was borne. The aim is to answer to the need of Filipino students for QUALITY and AFFORDABLE Nihongo tutorial and training services.

A PASSION for the Japanese language and a DEEP SENSE OF COMMITMENT to uplifting the Filipinos Japanese language proficiency resulted in the creation of UNMEI NIHONGO TUTORIAL CENTER.
On July 8, 2009 UNMEI started its first class of 5 students in L.E.A.R.N. Tutorial Center in Maginhawa St. UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City.

On September 5, UNMEI met with the Board of Directors of SolutionQuest International Corporation (SQI), a software solutions development and marketing company to discuss possible linkages
On March 8, 2010 UNMEI underwent its first move for expansion and transferred to a bigger place in OMM-CITRA, also in Ortigas. That same month, the JLPT results came out and UNMEI garnered a 100% passing rate for that batch.

HISTORY

For the following years, Unmei proved its high standards with a n almost 100% passing rate of its students who took the New JLPT from 2010-2012. On June 2012, Unmei was awarded Top Brands-Diamond Award as the 2012 Nihongo Language and Tutorial Center by Quality Brands Philippines Committee for the following category:

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

EDUCATION TO-EMPLOYMENT (E-TO-E) SERVICES

Unmeis language training equips its students to comprehensively communicate in the Japanese language such that graduates of the Center are ready for an eventual employment with Unmeis partner establishments.

PLACEMENT SERVICES

Unmei offers placement services exclusively for its graduates/ tutorial clients. Partner establishments are seasonally in need of Nihongo-speaking professionals for their business engagements with Japanese companies/clients. This is where Unmei bridges the resource gap.
Unmei also offers translation services of documents, files, projects, and contracts from Japanese to English and from English to Japanese, as well as simultaneous interpretation. In addition to the Center-based training, Unmei also bridges the gap between the need for a Nihongo training and the busy person of todays fast paced world. Unmei offers individually customized training for specific needs. And for 2012, UNMEI launched the very FIRST ONLINE JAPANESE STUDY through e-J@P.

Unmeis complete Japanese language training can be achieved through seven (7) modules seeking to achieve quantifiable goals for the student. Students with zero (0) to intermediate knowledg e of the Japanese language can fit in to the modules appropriate to their needs.

DESCRIPTION UNMEI offers the very FIRST training modules specifically designed for busy, working individuals. This module is a compact of 3-modules-in-1 that incorporates BASIC NIHONGO, CONVERSATIONAL NIHONGO and JAPANESE BUSINESS CULTURE. These modules consist of two programs for two (2) different groups of working people:

FUNCTIONAL BASIC JAPANESE (CODE: FJ)

1.Those who have little background of the Japanese language (Module FBJ-1) 2.Those who have zero or no background of the Japanese language (Module FBJ-2)
