Introduction
This WebQuest is designed to transport tenth grade high school students back in history to appreciate Grecian culture and the way it has impacted our lives today.

The ancient Greeks contributed a lot to Western Civilization in the forms of mathamatics, science, and English.

This project gives students the chance to expand their area of interest and learn more about it.

The Task
1. Students will break into groups of 4 or 5. We will have three weeks to work on this project and one week of presentations. If we do not need that much time, that works out well too. 2. Then, in their self chosen group they will choose one aspect of science, math, and English to study. 3. Collecting their findings along the way. At the end they will organize the information into a presentation format of their choosing, i.e. PowerPoint, Prezi, Poster, Acting, Skit,

The Process
Break into groups of 4 or 5!!! Pick one out of each of the following colomns to study and read one of the following plays:

Math: .Pythagoras .Anaxagorus .Aristotle .Euclid .Hipparchus

Science: .Earth Science .Zoology .Biology .Botany English: .Astrology .Oedipus Rex by Sophocles .Antigone by Sophocles .The Odyssey by Homer .The Iliad by Homer (Because the Odyssey and The Iliad are so long, you can Spark note them) .Medea by Euripides

Then put together a presentation discussing the topics of your choosing. Note- The presentation is up to your interpretation, you can decide the median you want to use to convey your information to the class.

Conclusion
Thank you for the time and effort you put into this project. Hopefully by the end of it, you will have gained some appreciation for the work that was done in Ancient Greece. You will also have learned some new things that maybe you previosly hadnt known about a new culture. Just think, if you dont know how to do a math problem, you have Google and a calculator they didnt! You have it easy now! We hope you thought this project was fun and interesting.
