In this stage you collect data about the development of your action plan in general.

What do you need to observe? This is based largely on the problem but might include how the participants are working, what they are working on, how materials are being used, interactions, engagement, what is not happening as well as what is happeningetc. Some methods of observation you need to use are: Noting observation of groups/individuals in action Observations and reflections of individuals, eg discussion, journals, etc Your own reflections Work produced or other outcomes (portfolios) Recordings, photographs

those are my questions that im going to apply to my students, I prefer to ask them directly, and one bye one, because if I give to the students the answers will be yes or no, or short answers, so in this case I will take the time to take notes, and if they are lost I will help them to clarify their doubts 1do you wnt to learn English? 2are you here becauste you want to learn English, or because your parents want you to learn English? 3why do you think it is importtant to learn English? 4which of these skills do you think it is the most imporant to develop, writing, speaking, listening, reading? 5what do you think it is the most important in a class? environment, the teacher, the class, the lessons, and why? 6.-how do you like more the explanations of the new topics, with pictures or just the explanations on blackboard ? 7.- what would like to change about the class? 8.- do you like to talk about new issues and technology at class? 9.- what topics would you like to talk at class? 10.-what would you like to learn about the English culture?

Paulina Bustamante Daz Because of the age of my students, I think surveys and questionnaires are not an option for me, children wont pay attention to the questions, and they will answer probably with yes/no answers, so I am going to apply interviews, because there are not a lot of students, and I can give me the time to talk with each of the students, using just one class, obviously by making the correct questions and without wasting time. The questions for the students, in this case, the students from the Saturdays class that lasts for four hours are: 1. Do you want to learn English? 2. Do you like coming to class on Saturdays?

3. What do you enjoy the most in class? 4. What dont you like about the class? 5. What is the activity you like the most in class? 6. Do you prefer to use your notebook or the Students book in class? 7. Would you prefer to come to class on the same days of school or do you prefer a Saturdays class? 8. What is the activity that you dont like doing in class? 9. Do you want to learn another language in the future? (I think this question may be important for the children that are really interested in languages, hopefully ) 10. Do you like working in teams or do you prefer to learn by yourself?

intruments.docx For the purpose of this project and with the objective of collect enough data to improve my teaching and the students learning process I intend to Observe the students in class in order to see if they enjoy the class, if they feel comfortable, if they are paying attention their reaction towards the course, the teacher and the material; I would apply some exams to the students in order to assess their progress and measure them. i will also interview the person in charge of the English program to see possible changes suggestions towards the course, the possibility of a basic syllabus that the teacher can modify always been within the rules and even the amount of hours of the course, finally, I will apply some surveys to peers in order to be informed about their issues and see if they might have suggestions for mine, my boss in order to see what she thinks about my performance as a teacher, to the students in order to see their opinion about the course and my performance as well and to the parents to collect suggestions possible problems, concerns. But data collected from parents, school and students is not enough, for this reason I will help my project and my research with some articles such as books pdf files etc. I have found around 5 or 6 articles that describe the process of creating syllabus and the types of those. This will help me to create my syllabus and choose the best type according to the needs of my group. Other articles also talk about the need to teach teachers the importance of syllabus for ESL programs and the importance of choosing the right type. And finally one article talks about the teacher/syllabus and they relation to the course in a more personal point of view.

DESIGNING YOUR PLAN OF ACTION. Here, you will upload the action plan that you will apply in your classroom to solve the problems of your learning environment You can use any format you want to write it, you can include charts, graphs, illustrations... whatever you may need to make it clear. Just make sure it includes the following elements:

Describe the planned innovation to improve your own situation. o What materials might you need? o What are the steps you need to take? Describe ALL the changes you plan to make. o Who will be involved? o Whats the time frame? o Are there any ethical considerations? (permission from the parents, institution, etc) Describe the potential objectives and goals of the innovation what questions do you hope to answer? How will you measure the outcomes? (this is, how do you plan to evaluate if your plan of action is working or not). Describe the setting in which the innovation will be applied, including: students (e.g., stage); learning environment (e.g., where will the learning take place?)

Good! Just make it more specific, Carla. Remember your action plan is EXACTLY what you will do to improve your problem.

.4 ACTION PLAN: OBSERVATION and ANALYSIS

In this stage you collect data about the development of your action plan in general. What do you need to observe? This is based largely on the problem but might include how the participants are working, what they are working on, how materials are being used, interactions, engagement, what is not happening as well as what is happeningetc. Some methods of observation you need to use are: Noting observation of groups/individuals in action Observations and reflections of individuals, eg discussion, journals, etc Your own reflections Work produced or other outcomes (portfolios) Recordings, photographs

Now that you applied your action plan and made a reflection on how it worked, it is time to evaluate it. 4.5 Write an essay (2 + pages) where you evaluate the outcomes of your action plan. Would you say it was successful? How effective were your changes? Did it solve the problems established in the first stage? In what ways? What were the barriers to change? Did any new problems arise or did you notice other problems you hadn't noticed before? Which ones? What can you do to improve even more your teaching practice and the learning of your students? How can you improve the changes you are trying to make in future? What have you learnt? What is your final conclusion?
