The specific job that interests me is the Client Program Coordinator with a focus in Print. This position is ideal for my print background and current education level. Currently I am working towards my BSS in Graphic Media Management from Ferris State University. This degree has educated me in skills such as manufacturing concepts, estimating and supply chain management. An AAS in Print and Digital Imaging Technology was the prerequisite to my current degree. Both of these degrees have aided me greatly in the past. At this point in time, I already have one years worth of press experience. My print experience started at Edwards Brothers Malloy in May of 2011. My duties were mainly working with large Timson webs and Heidelberg 6 colors. Daily work included hanging plates, changing/mixing ink, hanging rolls, making splices, loading paper, operating bundling equipment, and using power dolleys. This past summer I worked in ink manufacturing for Quad/Graphics. My main duties were to take care of quality control and process management. Draw downs of process and gravure inks, Delta E testing, and lean manufacturing courses were prominent. Along with my approximate 15 months of industry experience I have also participated in Graphic Communications competitions via SkillsUSA. In 2011 and 2012 my skills won the Michigan state competition. Further pushing my skills in 2011, my efforts took 3rd place at nationals and took 1st place in 2012. I would love to talk to someone about potentially setting up an interview. My course load keeps me extremely busy all week. During the next week you will be receiving an email directly to your team.
