VARTA TSP range

TSP 7.5...TSP 235
Application

Installation

VARTA Nickel cadmium batteries in the TSP range are

designed for high current discharges and for use as starter
batteries, i.e. for discharge times less than 1 hour down to
short term discharges or high current/pulse loading at good
voltage level. They are suitable for charge/discharge
operation, for charge-over mode and standby operation
mode and also for buffer operation. They can be recharged
at high currents in a relatively short time.
At low temperatures they have very good power ratio.
Deep discharge does not impair their performance.
Their field of application is backup power supply systems in
power stations, sub-stations, UPS and industrial systems, in
traffic control and as starter batteries for emergency diesel
generator sets.

All optional standard types of installation on rack or in cabinets

are permitted. For use in mobile equipment or for special
installation the batteries can be builds into plastic crates.
For use in earthquake zones special approved racks are
available. When installing in battery rooms the local safety
provisions must be adhered to.
