superintendent, project manager and estimator in the construction industry.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Diverse experience in the construction industry physically working in the masonry, carpentry,
concrete, electrical, underground utilities, civil and surveying trades. Advancement to supervisory
positions starting as an assistant superintendent and then as both a working and non-working
superintendent, estimator and project manager. Supervision of construction projects ranging from a
$20M shopping center, $10M-$15M apartment complexes, restaurants, convenience stores and
residential developments. Owned and operated an engineering/surveying firm for 5 years, which
included project management, supervision of employees and day-to-day operations of a business.
Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, superintendents and sub-
contractors. Experienced in identifying and resolving project conflicts with a proven ability to
complete jobs on time and within budget.

Civil design, project layout, estimating and supervision of trades for civil construction projects.

Owner/Project Manager/Survey Crew Chief

Russell Engineering & Construction Services, Ltd., Jerseyville, IL (01/2003–12/31/2008)

Managed day-to-day operations of engineering/surveying business including running a survey crew for
the survey of lots, a condominium complex and farm surveys; worked with engineers and professional
land surveyor to design subdivisions and improvements; estimated project costs; performed
commercial, residential and municipality construction staking; assisted in development of Planned Unit
Developments (PUD) for marina project and condominium project. Experience with Global
Positioning System (GPS) and other surveying equipment.

Project Manager/Chief Estimator

Stratum Design Build, St. Louis, MO (3/2002-11/2002—company closed)

Estimated, established and maintained budgets, negotiated contracts and created schedules for new
Mobil on the Run convenience (gas & car wash) stores and road projects ranging from $500,000 to
$2.5M. Consultation with owners and architects to establish value engineering to reduce total project
budgets. Successfully resolved project issues with municipality officials and inspectors.

Able Telecommunications, St. Louis, MO (9/2000-3/2002)

Estimated, established and maintained budgets, negotiated contracts, and created schedules for the
construction of telecommunication control buildings, switching stations and cell towers ranging from
$250,000 to $1M. Identified and resolved satellite office problems and conflicts relating to
construction operations nationwide. Brought jobs 25% to 30% under budget.

Superintendent/Estimator

JCC Development, Inc., Jerseyville, IL (per project basis–1988-2008)

Estimated, performed civil project layout and supervised and coordinated construction trades for the
construction of a 7,200 sq. ft. doctor’s office, 7,200 and 6,000 sq. ft. counseling facilities, 4,000 sq. ft.
group home, 5 multi-family (HUD) complexes ranging from 8 to 36 units and single family residences.
(Projects ranged from $250,000 to $1.2M.)

McIntyre Construction, Jerseyville, IL (per project basis–1998-1999)

Estimated, performed civil project layout and supervised and coordinated construction trades for the
construction of an Arby’s restaurant ($1.2M), a Sonic restaurant ($1M) and other various
commercial/residential projects.

Construction Observer/QAQC

Juneau Associates, Inc., Granite City, IL (1996-1997)

Observed, maintained quality control and tested materials in compliance with plans and specifications
for Illinois Department of Transportation road improvements, including water main extensions,
removal and replacement of storm sewer, curb, gutter and concrete pavement; civil site layout.
