YOUR CLOUD OF WITNESSES!

E - SERMON
I was preaching at one of our morning
services and the Holy Spirit led me to speak
on the following verse. It was not what I had
planned to preach about, but knew that it was
relevant to us and a now word to all of Gods
people.

Hebrews 12: 1 - Therefore we also, since we
are surrounded by so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and
the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us
run with endurance the race that is set before
us,

looking unto Jesus, the author and
finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was
set before Him endured the cross, despising
the shame, and has sat down at the right
hand of the throne of God.

I have heard a number of sermons telling me
that the great cloud of witnesses was the
people who had gone before (passed on),
who were now cheering us on.
The cloud of witnesses are not dead people
sitting in heaven or on the clouds, BUT, rather
the ones who are in your life or connected to
you in some way who are witnesses to how
you live your life.
That is why you MUST lay aside every weight
and sin that so easily ensnares you. It is easy
to be trapped by the enemy and by sin. Your
wrong living or actions that are not reflective
of the Christ in you, allows those who know
you to bear witness that you are not in a good
place spiritually and they will say you say one
thing but do another.
What you need as a believer is to have an
attitude of endurance. So life is not easy, and
struggles come, BUT you MUST endure.!




You must remain a man and a woman of faith.
There are people (witnesses) who are
watching your life.
Stop ducking and diving.
You may think that you are getting away with
sin, but the day will come when someone will
recognize you.
How do you endure?
You endure by looking to Jesus who is the
author and finisher of your faith

Remember Peters dilemma? Someone knew
who he was and that he was connected to
Jesus. (this is good)
Paul and John was recognized to be ignorant
men, yet they knew by their actions that they
had been with Jesus.

Can people witness your faith in action? Can
the love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness be
seen?
