Instruction Procedures
We will teach the students to be able to thoughtfully evaluate information. We will also
teach students how to rhetorically present the information in a manner that is subjunctive
and creates exigence. The students will first be asked to research information regarding
both cities, then to thoughtfully articulate their position to their peers.

Assessment
We will be evaluating students based on their debate. Criteria will include their
understanding and processing of information as well as the students ability to transmit
the information and their position to their audience.

Assignments
Students will be asked to research information to support their debate in order to build
their background knowledge. Students will also be asked to watch clips of debates and
evaluate the rhetoric used.
