Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.
We must learn to follow the instructions of Gods Word even
when it seems unusual.
Proverbs 3:5-7, Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean
not to your own understanding.
Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is fowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

Corinthians 5:7
Incredible amounts of wisdom are revealed in the plan that
God gave Joshua for Jericho. For one thing, Joshua told
the people not to say a word as they marched around the
city walls. The parents of these Israelites were the most
negative, complaining people ever. It was their constant
complaining that had provoked God Himself to anger. So,
the surest way to stop them from complaining was to stop
them from talking altogether. For people who dont believe
God does miracles this would seem like the silliest plan and
they certainly wouldnt obey. Joshua trusted God because he
knew that God sees things that we cant see. God had good
plans for the children of Israel and He just needed to see if
they would obey Him before He released the blessing of this
city to them. This is a great story reminding us of the great
plan of Gods wisdom and the sometimes unusual direction
He may choose to show us His ways.
