Content Standard : 3.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to form letters and words in neat legible
print including cursive writing.

a) words
Objective(s) : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to identify and write neatly of the names of the family members
through worksheet task given.
Level of Proficiency : Mixed ability students
Moral Value(s) : Love and appreciation for family members.

they are going to learn about family
members today.

3. Teacher distributes worksheet of family
members to the students.

4. Teacher shows a picture of a family
photo and introduces the names of the
family members by using Power Point
slides and asks pupils to say the words
after the teacher (Father, Mother,
Brother, Sister, Baby)

5. Teacher then asks the students to write
down the names of the family members
in the worksheet based on the picture.

6. Teacher checks students spelling by
asking the students to read the names of
the family members once more.

7. Teacher emphasize the students to
remember the spelling of the names of
the family members as they are going to
have a spelling test at the end of the
lesson.

8. Teacher introduces the lyrics of the song
The Finger Family to the students.

9. Teacher reads the lyrics of the song first
and students read after the teacher.
Teacher may repeat this step several
times as needed.

10. Teacher plays the music video of the
song and the teacher sings out the song
first followed by the students.

11. Teacher incorporates actions into the
song by asking the students to show and
move their fingers according to The
Finger Family song.

16. Once completed, the teacher invites the
students to sing the song by referring to
the lyrics that they had written.
