cm (30.5 cm of length) one quarter of
the specified sum value of the column in
the table shall be applicable.
The total number of defects may not
exceed the sum column, nor may the
max number of a size of defect be
exceeded for a particular size.
For example:
2 medium pits and 4 small pits counts to
6 and is below the threshold of 8, but if
the two medium pits are within 30.5 mm
of each other this is considered BI 6 or if
2 small pits and 1 medium pit are within
30.5 cm each other this is also
considered BI 6.
