Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Principal I have the responsibility for the curriculum and instruction and
assist the principal with managing the students, staffs and all the activities related to school. I
train teachers in College and Career Readiness Index and the State Longitudinal Data website.
At Hillgrove High School, I serve as a test coordinator for the Georgia High School Graduation
Test, End of Course Test, Advance Placement Test, and PSAT. I represented the school at
county level curriculum meeting including transition from Quality Core Curriculum to Georgia
Performance Standards to Common Core Curriculum. This past year I was the Assistant Athletic
Director and I helped with athletics budget, booster clubs, sport schedule development, and
attended county athletic meetings. As needed, I manage teacher and staff recruitment, evaluate
teachers, and maintain discipline and decorum in school campus. I facilitate communication
from students, teachers and parents to the principal, and as appropriate take action. I assist the
principal in monitoring and maintaining safe, healthy, peaceful environment in school. I monitor
the attendance of students and keep track absenteeism and its effect on students grades. As
textbook coordinator, I review textbooks and manage the distribution and security of the
bookroom. I am the director for the After School Tutorial to give students more opportunities to
receive academic assistance from the teachers.

I assisted principal of the school in various management and monitoring activities and
helped to maintain discipline inside school campus. I trained teachers on strategies and
techniques of pedagogy and classroom management. I trained teachers to use Pinnacle the
gradebook manager for grades and the I-Respond software system, an interactive assessment
tool. In the absence of principal I took the responsibility of administrating operations of the
school. I observed, evaluated and recorded my observations of teaching staff, non-teaching staff
and students and presented it for further actions to the Principal.
