Programme offered by IIMs through CAT

PGP (Post graduate programme in management):

The Post-Graduate Diploma in Management is the most prestigious and flagship

programme offered by IIMs. This programme is commonly known as 2-yr MBA. The
names used by the different IIMs are as follows:
• IIM Ahmedabad PGP
• IIM Bangalore PGP
• IIM Calcutta PGP PGDM
• IIM Lucknow PGP
• IIM Indore PGP
• IIM Kozhikode PGP
• RGIIM Shillong PGP
Eligibility: Graduation with 50% marks in any stream

IIM Calcutta PGP PGDCM: This is also a 2-yr full time MBA programme.
The objective of the PGDCM Programme is to create business professionals who
would know how to apply ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in
making a difference in business and economy. The programme is an outcome of the
felt need for weaving a general management programme around ICT to develop a
business curriculum that would train managers for an increasingly global and
information rich future
Eligibility: Graduation with 50% marks in any stream

IIM Bangalore PGPPM: Catalyzed by the Government of India and United Nations
Development Programme the PGPPM is packed with path breaking insights about
winning policy making and management strategies. It offers participants global
exposure through tie-up with Syracuse University, USA.
Eligibility:
DoPT Participants
Officers of the All India Services and Central Services subject to the following
eligibility conditions:
• Length of Service: The officer should have put in at least 7 years of Group 'A'
service.
• Age: The officer should not be more than 50 years on the date of
commencement of the programme i.e.1-6-2010 (53 years in case of officers
belonging to Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe and OB Community)
• Earlier Training: The officer should not have under gone training programme
of duration12-weeks or more in India or duration of 2-weeks or more abroad,
in the preceding five years.
Other Participants:
A bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 7 years of professional
experience, and proven proficiency in English. Applicants should not be over 50
years of age as on the date of commencement of the programme i.e.1-6-2010
(53 years in case of Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe and OB Community).
 • GMAT/GRE scores obtained between April 1, 2008 and November 30,
2009 will be considered
• Candidates not having GMAT/GRE scores may also apply by appearing for
tests/evaluation

IIM Bangalore PGSEM: The PGSEM endeavors to provide the most current
executive general management education to middle and senior professionals of the
software and information technology industry who seek to pursue a career in
management. This is part time, 2.5 years programme.classes are scheduled on
Friday mornings and Saturdays.
Eligibility: Minimum of 2 years work experience after graduation

ABM (Agri-Business management):

The Post Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM), equivalent
to MBA, is a unique programme specially designed to enhance the quality of
management in the food and agribusiness sector. Considering that this is a sector-
specific programme, academic profile and achievements, extra-curricular activities,
and post-degree work experience and its relevance, are taken into consideration

FPM (Fellow programme in Management): The Fellow Programme in

Management (FPM) is the doctoral programme of IIMs. The objective of the
programme is to provide students with necessary skills to identify and research
complex issues in the field of management. FPM seeks candidates with outstanding
academic backgrounds, intellectual curiosity and discipline needed to make scholarly
contribution

Eligibility
1. A Master's Degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks, with the
Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification with at least 50 percent marks obtained
after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary
schooling (10+2) or equivalent
2. Five year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55
percent marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or
equivalent.
3. A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks.
4. A 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with at least 60 percent marks or
equivalent grade point average.
