Engineering technologists are plying an essential role in many business areas. The
production and service functions in most business are based on some core
technology. This could range from brick making or bread backing to microchip
manufacturing or internet service provision. This indicates that most businesses
require some sort of technology for production and to do business.
In any business environment, where technology is changing at an unrelenting pace,
businesses must be able to adjust to this technology challenge or become extinct.
