1. Learning conditions:

1.1 Trainees:
The trainees have acceptable English but some have weak English therefore I
should talk easily and with understandable language. They should be 8 trainees
according to the attendance list. Also, according to the college code of content
the trainee must come on time and wear the uniform and shouldnt wear a hat or
a cap. Trainees ages are approximately between 22-25 year old.

1.2 Classroom:
The lesson is going to be in building (4) and in class (231 A). This class is
prepared with a computer, projector, electrical experiment board, whiteboard,
the light and the temperature is quite good. The tables in this room are prepared
for lecture which makes it somehow difficult to make group work. Therefore, we
have to do some organizing to make a group work on the tables in the back and
we need to some time for this arrangement if needed.

1.3 College:
TTC has four buildings and my lesson will be at building number four which is
EET building because my course is one of EET courses. In this building
classrooms are prepared by the equipments which needed in Electrical classes
to help the trainer and trainees to use practical and theory lessons in one class
instead of having separate class and workshops.

2. Didactic Reflection:

2.1 Curriculum Analysis:
This is the curriculum analysis of TTC's sixth semester course (BS-2) and the
prerequisites course is (BS-1). The course's name is AC Electrical Machines
and it is related to Machines and drives teaching unit. In this course trainees
learn the types of AC electrical motors and the principle of each motor also they
learn some formulas and rules such as; torque , motor speed, rotation, slip ,etc.
In TTC teaching plan this course is taught in all Electronics and Electrical
Technology specializations: Electrical Power Technology, Electronics
Technology and in Electrical Machines this course has a practical lesson and
the contents are more detailed in this department because they have to learn
more about motors construction and winding as specialized. This course's credit
hours are three and one practical hour for Electrical technology.
General Objectives of this course:
This course goal is to let the trainees learn and deal with the common machines
used in Electrical technology in the industrial field. In this course the trainees
learn the construction, principle, working standers, speed and the slip.

Behavioral Objectives:
The trainee after this course:
1. Describe the types of electrical motors.
2. Differentiate between synchronous speed and rotor speed.
3. Explain how a three phase induction motor works.
4. Draw the curve of AC electrical motor torque.
5. Describe the synchronous speed.
6. Use the formulas of speed, slip.
7. Describe the slip of AC electrical motors.

2.2 Content Analysis:
In this lesson trainees learn the synchronous motor speed, rotor speed and slip
and this lesson must be given when the trainees learned the principle and
construction of three phase induction motor as pre-requisite lesson for this
lesson. This lesson focuses on the work of three phase induction motor such as
the speed and the slip and to learn these formulas trainees should learn
somehow about measuring speed rotation and the slip of the motor. Also, we
note that there is a relationship between the torque (M) and the speed (n) of
rotation of an electric motor. The speed of falls as the torque rises. Furthermore,
in motor starting the speed is always zero. This lesson focuses more in
operating behavior of electric motors because this is the most important point to
select an electric motor ; synchronous speed, rotor speed, slip, are all important
factors of electric motors. Then, when we learn the operating behavior of single
phase motors three phase will be somehow the same and we apply same
information we used with a single phase into three phase induction motor with
some differences according to the type of the motor. Also, in asynchronous
motors we face the slip as one of the biggest disadvantages which reduces the
quality of the motor speed because in this case the induced magnetic field
rotation will not be the same as the rotor rotation and that must be explained in
the pre-requisite lesson as an introduction of three phase induction motor.

2.3 Didactic Analysis:
Methods
In my lessons I would like to use many methods because changing of methods
according to your topic will keep your lesson understandable and motivating for
the trainees and also because our AVP-3 course focuses on changing of
methods. For the beginning I will use classroom conversation to refresh the
trainees information and to test their prior knowledge. After that, I will show a
video for the synchronous motor speed to take trainees' attention. Then, I will
use lecture to start explaining the lesson and the formulas with keeping an eye
on the trainees to know either they follow or not and stopping in each part and
asking to keep them focusing in the lesson. After that I will use the experiment in
the end of the lecture because I have a difficult lesson with so many formulas
and theory. Therefore, I will give the students worksheets to know if they
understand the explanation or not. After I will use the experiment to let the
trainees awake and focused.

Media:
In my lessons I prefer to use different medias to keep the lesson motivating and
to make understandable easily. I will use a projector to show a video and some
PowerPoint slides for the parts which need to draw or colorful because using
the whiteboard will take too much time and will not be clear enough such as
using pictures and computer drawing and writing. Then, I will use the whiteboard
to let the students to write the answers from the worksheets.

This lesson focused on :
1. Principle of methodological changes which AVP-3 focuses on by starting
the lesson with classroom discussion and then changing the method into
lecture slowly after that showing a video and using partner work.
2. Principle of motivation by starting the lesson by facing the trainees with a
problem the may face in their normal live.
3. Principle of vividness by asking the trainees to answer questions on the
whiteboard.
4. Principle of self-action asking the trainees individually and giving
individual tasks such as asking a trainee to answer a question on the
whiteboard and reading a question.
5. Principle of securing the learning process by time management and
dividing the lesson in the right order by giving the most important tasks
much time.
