History
After the sanctions that #ere e>ercised and the 'ersecution that the sahaba had gone through by Quraish& he
#ent to Taif because he #as looking for 'eo'le #ho could embrace the vision of %slam because it #as difficult
in 0ecca$ ecause of the amount of 'ain he #ent through& Allah 2s#t* #anted to alleviate his 'ain and suffering
and hardshi' that he had endured in Taif$ So instead of humans embracing %slam& the Jinn started embracing
%slam$ The ;inn heard about the Pro'het and they #ent looking for him$ efore he #as sent& the Jinn used to
hear the ne#s about humans 2so and so #ill have a son& so and so #ill get sick& so and so #ill marry& etc* from
the angels and they used to relate this ne#s to #itchcrafters$ So they #ould go to sorcers and soothsayers and
charltains and fortune-tellers and tell them this ne#s$ So #hen the Pro'het came #ith his message& the Jinn
could no longer hear this ne#s from the heavens$ ut they kne# the ne#s of the coming of the Pro'het
%n a hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn 0asoud& !Abdullah #as #ith the Pro'het and he #as standing a little far
from him and he sa# different creations gathering around the Pro'het and they #ere concealing him$ ,e #ent
to see #hat #as ha''ening #ith the Pro'het and the Pro'het gave him a signal to stay back$ These #ere the Jinn
that came in the form of humans to ask the Pro'het about embracing %slam$(

Jinn can dwell in human bodies.
The e>istence of Jinn is 'roven by the Quran& sunnah& and %;maaF or consensus of the scholars and muslim
ummah$ %bn Taymiyah also says !similarly the d#elling of Jinn in humans is 'roven($

Jinn may lead 'eo'le astray by a''earing in the form of sheikhs or #aliyyFs or saints$
