We use present simple tense for:

Facts. Ex: I live in Spain / She lives in London
Habits and routines. Ex: They swim every morning
Feelings and emotions. Ex: I like playing tennis
Things that are true in general. Ex: Sunday omes after Saturday.

Verbs + ING : Love, like, dont mind, dont like, hate, prefer
The spelling for the verb in the third person differs depending on the ending of that
verb:
1.) For verbs that end in -O, -CH, -SH, -SS, -X, or -Z we add -ES in the third person.

2. )For verbs that end in a consonant + Y, we remove the and add -IES.
