hydrochlorothiazide Dyazide diuretic/anti-hypertensive/ PO 1 daily Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg and triamterene

/ triamterene antikaliuretic 37.5 mg
Indications- DYAZIDE is indicated for the treatment of Contraindications/warnings/interactions- Thiazides have been shown to
hypertension or edema in patients who develop hypokalemia on decrease arterial responsiveness to norepinephrine. Thiazides have also been
hydrochlorothiazide alone. DYAZIDE is also indicated for those shown to increase the paralyzing effect of nondepolarizing muscle relaxants such
patients who require a thiazide diuretic in whom the development as tubocurarine; consequently caution should be observed in patients undergoing
of hypokalemia cannot be risked. DYAZIDE may be used alone or surgery. Triamterene and quinidine have similar fluorescence spectra; thus,
as an adjunct to other anti-hypertensive drugs, such as beta- DYAZIDE will interfere with the fluorescent measurement of quinidine. Concurrent
blockers. Since DYAZIDE may enhance the action of these use of hydrochlorothiazide with amphotericin B or corticosteroids or corticotropin
agents, dosage adjustments may be necessary. (ACTH) may intensify electrolyte imbalance, particularly hypokalemia, although the
presence of triamterene minimizes the hypokalemic effect. Antikaliuretic Therapy
