TATRAPAN 8X8 container carrier:
Unique driving characteristics due to modern
TATRA chassis
cabin for 3 personnel equipped with air
conditioning, independent heating and NBC
protection.
basic ballistic protection in accordance to STANAG
4569 level 1 (possibility of additional armouring to
level 2 and 3)
quick mounting of additional armouring in the field

1) Chassis
Concept is based on the TATRA 7th series chassis with the all axles drive and the possibility of
disconnection of the front axles. The construction of axles allows an underwing of half axle.
Dual-circuit braking system with ABS.
Chassis has a rear suspension device according to DIN 74 054 and also VG 74059 NATO.

2) Drive unit
Engine output of 300 kW, which meets EURO 3 regulations and allows long-term operation on a single
fuel F-34 according to NATO standards (STANAG 4362).
Fuel system equipped with an electric fuel pump and the possibility of air exhaustion without folding the
cab.
Construction of the chassis and the cabin allows installation of all TATRA 7th series types of engines and
gears.

3) The vehicle cabin is for 3 personnel, it provides enough comfort for the crew, equipment and personal
weapons.






























Cabin is equipped with:
Air conditioning,
Independent heating,
NBC protection,
Heated ballistic glass and mirrors,
Interior lightening with the camouflage mode,
Preparation for an installation of antennas,
Hydraulic hand pumps solution for lifting the cabin.

The vehicle cabin allows an installation of radios, GPS, chemical and radiation detection devices and
equipment for the jamming of IED systems.

4) Additional equipment
Mechanical protection of mirrors, blinkers and fog lights.
Folding heated mirrors.
Starting cables
Storage space for the vehicle equipment (waterproof lockable cabinets).
Fuel canisters
Preserving recharge of batteries.
The equipment can be added according to customer requirements.
Front and back Tow eyes according to STANAG 4062
Chains for one of the rear axles.

Documentation determining all actions necessary for preparing technology for summer and winter time.
Terms and conditions of treatment in difficult terrain (dusty environment, wading etc.).

Endurance test
In August 2012, VYVOJ Martin, a.s. conducted an endurance test of the TATRAPAN 8x8 container carrier.
TATRAPAN 8x8 CC was pulling a load kit weighting 50 tons. (see above)
