The nutritonal compositon of hemp seed is quite unique
and exceptonal
Whole hemp seeds contain approximately 36% dietary fat, 26% high quality and digestble protein and 31% carbohy-
drates comprised mainly of dietary fber, in additon to an interestng array of vitamins and minerals.
Hemp seeds dietary fat is primarily composed of polyunsaturated fats or the good fats
Hemp seed oils faty acid profle is comprised of 80% po lyunsaturated fats, 11% monounsaturated fats, 9% satu-
rated fats and zero trans fats. Health organizatons

have recommended that fat intake should make up 20% to 35%
of your total calories. They further recommend that most of your fat intake should come from polyunsaturated
and monounsaturated fats, while limitng the intake of trans&and saturated fats. Hemp seed dietary fat meets this
recommendaton.
Hemp Seed Oil contains Zero trans fat and is cholesterol-free.
You do not have worry about your heart and cardiovascular system.
Hemp Seed Oil provides one of the highest concentratons of polyunsaturated faty acids (PUFAs) categorized
as Omega-6 and Omega-3 Essental Faty Acids (EFAs) in an ideal 3:1 rato.
EFAs are vital for good health but cannot be manufactured by our body, and so they must be present in our diet
through the foods we eat. EFAs are both important components of cell membranes and are precursors for substanc-
es in the body involved with regulatng blood pressure and infammatory responses.
Hemp seed is a source of high quality, plant based protein.
Analysis of hemp food proteins has resulted in a Protein Ratng of 40

and above, meaning that the protein content
in hemp foods is not only present in high amounts, but also of a high quality
Hemp protein is free of trypsin inhibitors.
Trypsin is a key enzyme that breaks down peptde bonds in proteins, enabling protein uptake in the human body.
Hemp protein contains no trypsin inhibitors, such as those found in other protein rich sources like soy that can cause
fatulence and gas. Hemp seed and foods not only contain a high quality protein, available in high amounts, but they
are also free of inhibitors that impede protein digeston making hemp highly digestble.
Hemp protein is very high in dietary fber.
Fiber helps to keep the digestve system healthy and functoning properly. The dietary fber found in hemp is primar-
ily composed of insoluble fber, which helps with digeston and maintaining regular bowel movements.
Hemp is naturally gluten and lactose free.
Gluten is a type of protein found in most grains commonly used in cereals and baked goods. Most people allergic to
gluten have a similar reacton to lactose and soy. Hemp foods naturally have zero gluten and lactose content

Germinated hemp food ingredients
Most of our foods are made from dormant seeds. These propagatng units are made not to feed us, but to save transfer of genetc
informaton for the next generatons.
Plants have built up several protecton systems to prevent their propagatng units. This protecton can be physical or chemical:
toxins, enzyme inhibitors, tannins, phytc acids, etc.
A large amount of the nutritonal material produced by the agriculture is lost because of the improper understanding and process-
ing of the foods.
Nutrients in seeds are stored in form of giant molecules in a highly condensed form - like a ZIP fle in the computer. The basic goal
of our digeston is to break down these molecules in order to make them utlizable for our organism and to brake down the several
ant-nutritve materials present.
The process of germinaton is a magical way the nature uses to reveal and ofer us incredible amounts of nutrients from a seed that
carefully protects its nutrients. During this process, the ant-nutrients decompose and actve enzymes turn the sprouted seed into
a vitamin, mineral and ant-oxidant mega-bomb. The amount of nutrients may increase ten-fold while the seed is germinatng. The
essental nutrients, vitamins and minerals become beter available for and are beter absorbed by the human body.
Moreover, the functonality of these new raw food ingredients is achieved not by artfcially adding one or another benefcial com-
ponent, but through the most natural way the nature knows through germinaton.
The technology to produce these foods is equally unique and ensures the preservaton of a maximum amount of nutrients in an
available and easily digestble form. Moreover, the product is extremely stable despite the absence of preservatves.

Changes in Carbohydrates
Since simple sugars are the imminent source of energy for the seed development during germinaton process. While ordinary
hemp seed contains about 2.00% of sugars, germinated hemp seed contains less than 0.20% of sugars.
Changes in Protein
Big bundles of globular protein are broken down into oligopeptdes or individual amino acids. Germinated hemp seed is also rich
in actve enzymes that assist quality digestng of proteins. Total protein content remains unchanged when compared to ordinary
hemp seed.
Changes in Fats
The most dramatc changes in germinatng hemp seed occur on the fat side. Most of the food fat comes in a form of triglyceride
(TAG) which is formed by one glycerol molecule and three molecules of faty acid. Faty acids are a family of molecules classifed
as lipid macronutrients. One of their roles within human and animal metabolism is energy producton in the form of synthesis of
Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). Alpha-Linolenic faty acid also acts as a agent for DHA synthesis.
During germinaton the TAGs are hydrolysed and broken into di-glycerides (DAG) or mono-glycerides (MAG) and free faty acids
(FFAs). But since FFAs are immediately used-up as energy source needed for seed growth, the overall Acid Number (Free Faty Acid
Number) of the oil from germinated hemp seed is not considerably higher compared to oil from ordinary seeds. The typical Acid
Number is less 2.00%.
While TAGs represent material suitable to build fat supplies, DAGs are channelled into the liver where they serve as a direct energy
source. Thereby, they also assist metabolism and intensify burning. And it is likely to be one of the reasons why they help reducing
weight. This efect has been confrmed by several studies.
Up to 15% of fat in germinatng hemp seed can be converted into DAGs. Conventonal cooking oils are mostly TAG fats, with a
small amount of DAG fats. TAGs are hydrophobic while DAGs are hydrophilic they bond water chemically. This diference is very
important from the perspectve of fat transfer in the body and industrial applicatons. 70% of the DAG fats in sprouted oil are in
the (1,3) form.
Moreover, the product is extremely stable despite the absence of preservatves. The ant-oxidant capacity can be demonstrated on
increased level of tocopherols in our cold-pressed hemp seed oil when compared to hemp oil from ordinary hemp seeds:

The high proporton of the Vitamin E form present in the oil enhances the omega-3 faty acid efects and adds to the signifcant

Product descripton
100 millilitres will provide over 85% of Dietary Reference Value of Vitamin E. This is almost double compared to highest quality oils
crushed from regular raw hemp seeds. Also level of -Tocopherol is 18% higher than can be found in regular hemp seed oil.
Tocopherols have many biological functons, the antoxidant functon being the most important one. Other functons include
enzymatc actvites, gene expression, and neurological functons. While Alpha-Tocopherol inhibits the producton of new free radicals
and protects cell membranes from oxidaton, Gamma-Tocopherol is required to trap and neutralize existng free radicals.
The oil contains up to 15% of di-glycerides which, since they are hydrophilic, allow for easy transport of faty acids into liver where
they servee as an immediate source of ATP synthesis and Alpha-linolenic (ALA) Omega 3 faty acid serves as a source of DHA synthesis.
Hydrophilic propertes of di-glycerides also improve emulsifying propertes of germinated hemp seed oil in cosmetcs applicatons.

LOW SATURATED FAT
A claim that a food is low in saturated fat, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the consumer,
may only be made if the sum of saturated faty acids and trans faty acids in the product does not exceed
1,5 g per 100 g for solids or 0,75 g/100 ml for liquids and in either case the sum of saturated faty acids and
trans faty acids must not provide more than 10 % of energy.
LOW SUGAR
A claim that a food is low in sugar, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the consumer, may
only be made where the product contains no more than 5g of sugar per 100 g for solids or 2,5 g of sugar
per 100 ml for liquids.
SODIUM FREE or SALT FREE
A claim that a food is sodium free or salt free, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the con-
sumer, may only be made where the product contains no more than 0,005 g of sodium, or the equivalent
