MEANING OF WEAVING
Weaving a process to cross the ingredients from plants to serve a community of strong and
can be used. Plant materials that are woven sticks, rattan, roots, bamboo , pine , pine , jute
and so on. These are usually easy to dry and soft.

HISTORY OF WEAVING
Weaving is a traditional art that has no outside influences. The development history is woven
together with the development of the art of pottery. Type weaving in Neolithic times many
are producing rope, home and the necessities of life. Material from the root and cane is the
basic material used to produce woven earlier. Siti Zainun in book design crafts traditional
Malay states on Long Yunus reign ( 1756-94 ) in the state of Bihar , the use of weaving used
by the king . Weaving is called ' Mat King ' made from tree bemban .
To date, few states still actively involved in weaving at the village level . Among the districts
Rusila , Dungun , Kampung Ru Renggoh Village gravestone , Cendering and Kuala Ibai in
the state . Other states that there are still weaving activity is the state of Perlis , Kedah ,
Perak , Selangor , Negeri Sembilan , Pahang , Melaka , Sarawak and Sabah .

TYPES OF WEAVING
1. PLAIN WEAVE
Cross plain cross is the oldest, most widely used among other intersection. Chance of 80 % of
all cross- weave is a plain cross. Plain cross is the most simple cross with its surface between
the good and bad parts of the fabric.
Because the intersection between the threads and warp feed on cross plain compared to most
other cross, the cross is plain woven fittest. Also woven into plain easy given the design, such
as the stamped surface , dibatik , embroidery and more. Some woven with plain weave is the
famous muslin cloth, mori , nansook , voile , organdi , blacu and so on .

2. TWILL WEAVE
Cross twill is an intersection of the threads lusi cross over or under two or more weft yarns ,
the warp threads crossing the left or right to shift one or more weft threads to form a diagonal
line or twill line .
Cross twill fabric with sparse labeled because their surface texture is attractive with the
advent of the twill lines. However twill silk fibers derived from yarn or other fiber light often
stigmatized. Twill not easily dirty because dirt tends to stick to the surface only twill line.
Some cross twill weave with the other drill, jeans , denim , gabardine , and so on .

3.D0VETAILING
To change color within the shot. Use two needles.

4. BASKET WEAVE
Basket weaving is a type of weave used for basket weaving and basket pattern. Basket weave
is a weave made from multi-strand horizontal multi- strand woven on a vertical. Over 2,
under 2 (Does not matter if you start over or under.) Use a double strand of weft.

5. RUG
Traditional knotting technique for pile carpets. Use 4 stands of yarn. Add a row of tabby
after every two rows of knots. Shear the pile to desired height.

6. SOUMAK
Another traditional carpet technique. Create single color diagonals or zigzags, using the 3
needle. The right side of diagrams showing shows which way the wefts will slant after
beating in.
