BACKGROUND

Persatuan Industri dan Usahawan ICT Bumiputera Malaysia (NEF) is an
association that is totally committed towards improving the quality of
technopreneurship. It was formed in 1997 as a support system & self help
group for technopreneurs. As time passes, it has evolved into an
organization that is now recognized by the Government of Malaysia as a
leading organization that is focused in representing Bumiputera
Technopreneurs in Malaysia. As an organisation that represents the ICT
industry, it is supported with extensive knowledge, expertise and various
resources in the ICT & Telecommunications via its members. It also forms
alliances with other cross industry associations with a vision of moving
forward as a united front.

NEF main areas of focus are Funding, Market Access, Technopreneur
Development, and Creativity & Innovation.

To provide maximum value to stakeholders by fulfilling their real needs.

To create a fulfilling entrepreneurial environment reflective of skill,
knowledge and attitudes of a successful enterprise based on sharing,
empowerment, achievement and reward.

NEF Areas of Focus:

1. Technopreneur Development
NEF strives to ensure that the community is constantly
equipped with the most up to date knowledge and information
In an effort to ensure this, it organizes various developmental
and knowledge sharing programs.
The most popular series of its program is NETBASH which
has been organized since its days of inception.

2. Market Access
For any entrepreneur, market access is the key to business
sustainability and growth.
NEF builds relationships with local and international networks
in order to provide a channel for its members to get market
access.

3. Funding
Funding is key for a new entrepreneur or even for those that
has been in business
NEF ensures that policy related to funding is well addressed
and benefits the community
It also acts as a pressure group to introduce new funding
schemes that reflects the needs of today.

4. Creativity & Innovation
NEF believes that Creativity & Innovation is the fundamental
thrust to ensure survivability & growth.
New Innovations involves products, processes, systems,
services, models & methods.
NEF creates awareness and training programs to ensure its
