POLYCAST WINDOW BUSHINGS
INDOOR - UNSHIELDED
PIWB- Series
STYLES AVAILABLE:
PIWBU- Style wall bushings provide additional
creep only and depend upon other insulation between
the bus and ground. They have no mounting holes.
A U-slot or threaded clamping ring is used for
location on other insulation.
PIWBN- Style wall bushings are intended for use
with insulated cable (NATVAR). They have
mounting holes for location purposes.
PIWBFM- Style wall bushings provide additional
creep only and depend upon other insulation between
the bus and ground. They have mounting holes for
location on other insulation.

PIWB08- & PIWB15- Style wall bushings provide
full insulation to ground for bare bus at 75kV BIL
and 95kV BIL, respectively and have mounting holes
provide for mounting directly to metal frames.
The above window bushings are available in grey
cycloaliphatic epoxy suitable f or use in high
condensation or heavily polluted environments.
Appl i cati on:
- in switchgear and other power apparatus
- as bus entrance and cell transition insulation
- with any size single or multiple conductors
- indoor applications (not exposed to UV radiation)
- rated - 50C to 130C
Constructi on:
- PIWB- style bushings are red EC-A Bis-A epoxy
- PCYWB- style bushings (grey cycloaliphatic epoxy) are
an available option in most models
- standard windows for many conductor sizes,
- optional windows for insulated bus and special bus sizes
