approved resources to the
Institute of Agricultural
Marketing

The National Economic Council (CENA) at its last meeting,
approved resources to the Institute of Agricultural Marketing
through an additional credit of 5 million dollars to
Panamanians to access more economic food in the Jumbo
Fairs and Stores, as well as improving the capacity of the
institution for the receipt, storage and distribution of food, in
an efficient and safe way.

in the secondary market

The deputy minister of finance, Dario Espinosa reported that
the secondary market of securities of Panama, achieved a
buoyancy of 763 million dollars in local sovereign securities,
at the close of the year 2013, which is a very positive figure,
since in 2009, were 26 million dollars.

In addition, the deputy minister Espinosa, announced at the
launch of the International Link Euroclear & Lainclear, that
the Panamanian stock market will continue growing.

INTERVIEW:
Still it takes a lot for us to become a hub of capital market in
the region. Today we take a great step in that direction by
becoming the first country in Latin America to launch the
novel tool called iLink of the Euroclear Bank.
This international liaison will be decisive in the way that
issuers and local and international investors to connect over
Panama to provide a gateway to markets and products to
which before was not accessible.

Similarly this tool provide to individual and institutional
investors in 46 countries an easy access to the instruments
of fixed and variable income that are traded in Panama.
We must continue sticking ourselves to the benefits our
country offers to promote our jurisdiction as attractive for
transactions of the stock market, and even more, now with
the added value that brings us the Euroclear Banks iLink.

HEADBAND: Upcoming
elections


In these elections 2014, two million 4 hundred 57 thousand
401 Panamanians are enabled to elect a President,
representatives, mayors and municipal representatives.



The Electoral Tribunal announced that the general elections
cost approximately 55.7 million dollars, 44 percent higher
than those of 2009 when was elected president Ricardo
Martinelli.

There were 2 thousand 700 voting centers and 6 thousand
3 hundred 30 polling stations.

quarter 2014

The Game Control Board introduced his management report
of the first quarter 2014.
The report highlights a collection from January to March of
this year of 31 million 3 hundred 34 thousand dollars.
From January to March 2014, the right of key generated 11
million 5 hundred dollars and the machines type A, 10 million
9 hundred 96 thousand 9 hundred 95.22 dollars, these being
the largest income generated to the state treasury.
