Objective
A summer internship with CNAP would provide an opportunity to use my skills in an enjoyable and
meaningful way. I enjoy working creatively and collaboratively in a wide range of hands-on
settings, particularly in the areas of cooking, gardening, children and the arts. Opportunities to

As an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Chico, I have been heavily
involved in volunteer committees for this organization.
CHAIR HEAD FOR THE TORRES SHELTER COMMITTEE 2009-Present
I lead my congregation in serving a monthly meal to the residents at the Torres Shelter.
Some of my duties for this position include:
o Planning menus and purchasing for meals to serve approximately 100
o Recruiting volunteers and training them in the commercial kitchen

OWNER CREEK-SIDE STUDIO AND FARM August 2011-Present
Co-owner of a community ceramics center, where we host classes and workshops in ceramics and
other mixed-media arts. The homestead is a two-acre urban farm where we grow a variety of fruit
trees, row crops, herbs and poultry products for personal scale use.
VOLUNTEER/STEERING COMMITTEE FOR THE PROCESSION OF THE SPECIES 2007-Present
Procession of the Species is a group of 4 artists and community volunteers that bring endangered
species education and puppet-making skills to children in the Chico area. We showcase the
puppets made in an annual puppet parade that takes place at the Butte Environmental Councils
Endangered Species Fair.
