CHEESE AND SPIRITS- Nettle Meadow Farm, a goat and
cheese dairy, that produces highly-acclaimed and award-winning
cheeses, invites regional makers of wine, beer and cider to partici-
pate in a cheese and spirits pairing in the loft of the farms historic
barn on Saturday, June 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Almost mid-way
between Lake George and Gore Mountain/North Creek, the pair-
ing, coupled with Martins Lumber Woods Walk held nearby ear-
lier in the day, should draw a significant number of tourists from
both regions. Those interested in showcasing their beverages should
contact the organizers as soon as possible in order to be listed on
the event website and in other advertising and so Nettle Meadow
can find suitable cheeses to pair with each beverage. Please email
Cheese@NettleMeadow.com or PersisGranger@aol.com to indi-
cate interest and obtain more details. Participants will be required
to display appropriate permits at the event. The Nettle Meadow
Cheese and Wine Pairing will raise money the Thurman Station
Association, a not-for-profit group that organizes a variety of visi-
tor events throughout the year to promote local agri-business.
