Personal Statement
I have recently completed a Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) degree at Deakin University. I have
thoroughly enjoyed learning about the industry in the class room but am ready to enter the public
relations industry permanently. Throughout my degree I undertook an internship at a Public Relations
firm and was able to gain hands on industry experience and I believe that I am an excellent candidate
for this position as I have many skills and attributes which align with the type of candidate you are
looking for.



Key Skills
Very strong written and verbal communication skills gained through university education
and developed further through my internship experience. I Undertook Journalism units as
a part of my Public Relations degree and have written several articles through my own
research. I was also asked as a part of my internship at Regeneration Unlimited to research
and write articles.

I have worked in a team environment for a number of years throughout my part time job
and thrive on doing so. I am also extremely capable of working on my own when instructed
to do so and spent the entirety of my internship completing my own work.

Ease at working with new and existing technologies including social medias with a strong
understanding of the effectiveness of these. Extremely familiar with Microsoft Office
programs as I have been using them effectively and frequently for many years.

My research skills are highly developed and I obtained a High Distinction in my research
subject through the 2

year of my degree. Throughout my internship I was asked to
research articles, potential campaign faces for clients and media opportunities through

Regeneration Unlimited is a boutique public relations firm and was an excellent introduction to

Monitoring website SourceBottle for media opportunities for both Regeneration
Unlimited and their clients
