The Problem: Have you ever sat there wondering how to make basic weapons? But you just didn't know what to do or how to start? Maybe you also didn't know what to use?
Do you want to know how to make a bow? First, you need a exible stick. You want to try and avoid warping or cracking. There are many types of wood that you can use for bows such as Maple, Black Locust, Oak, Ash, Elm, Mulberry, Cascara, and Ironwood. Native Americans made a grinding stone that was made out of a smooth river rock. You could use bone, horns, and antlers from animals for a sharp tool. For stone you could use int, chert, jasper, chalcedony, agate, and obsidian stones that are somewhat free of chipping. The Native Americans would use a spear for hunting and warfare also would use many other weapons such as war clubs, tomahawks, axe, knives, swords, coup sticks, blowguns, and darts. There also are many weapons you can make to defend yourself such as 1.) Spears 2.) Bows and Arrows 3.) Axe 4.) Knives. The problem isn't how to nd the objects it's how to make it and what to use.
Steps for Tackling the Problem: 1.) Find a Maple, Black Locust, Oak, Ash, Elm, Mulberry, Cascara, and Ironwood.
2.) Find a stone that is hard and somewhat free of chipping, such as Flint, Chert, Jasper, Chalcedony, Agate, and Obsidian
3.) You want sharp tools? Well use animals for substances like their bones, horns, and antlers but if you don't like that way, there is also making arrows, bows, spears, and knifes out of wood and stone.
4.) DO NOT use wood, that will crack or chip or DO NOT use stones that will crumble or have cracks.
5.) The thinner the wood the faster it will dry, if you're planning on making a bow.
6.) Use plants for string such as Dogbane, it's pound to produce bers.
7.) Make a spear out of bamboo/ log and a stone that's sharp and shaped as a triangle.
8.) DO NOT rush to make it. Take your time so it actually comes out how you want it to.
9.) Make an axe from stone, wood, and maybe plants.
10.) Make sure your weapon is steady so when you try to take it somewhere and the stone won't fall out or the stick/ log won't break like with rotted wood.
Other Suggestions: If you can't nd any of the stuff you need, good luck trying to nd steady stuff to use. Oh, and one important suggestion, don't go in the woods and get lost, without a pocket knife or something in the rst place!
