Language Lab

In todays world of technology Language Lab is considered as one of the best ways to prepare
the students to meet the upcoming challenges. It is conducted for the enrichment of oral skills.
The motto is not only to groom the students at oral skills but to inculcate business ethics as well.
In Indian scenario where coming out of shackles of hesitation vis--vis the foreign tongue
whether it is English , German or French is a mammoth task, Communication Lab comes to its
aid .
Communication Lab strives to inculcate in its students , effective communication skills that play
such an important role on the path to scholarly success such as :
Listening & Speaking :
A very significant part of communication process is observing & listening. Whenever we talk of
communication, we invariably think about speaking well, making effective presentations etc.



MITRC caters to this need and emphasizes on holistic personality development of students with
attention towards development of communication skills. The institute has one of the finest
language laboratories in Alwar.

One of the integral philosophies of SKIT is to prepare its students to become confident and self reliant
individuals. The Department of Sciences and Humanities incorporates this very philosophy in to its
being. Here students embark on a journey to hone their skills in areas such as Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and English and to have better & comprehensive understanding of the subjects. Presence
of specialized Physics, Chemistry and a Language Lab plays a quintessential role in helping the students
in materializing their goals. Students are also engaged in some innovative experiments and projects
other than those prescribed in the syllabus.

Most of the faculty members in the department hold a Ph.D. and have contributed substantially in
leading National and International Journals and Conferences. The Physics and Chemistry Labs are
equipped sufficiently with many modern instruments to undertake projects from various organizations,
like AICTE, DST, UGC and conduct national and international conferences, seminars and symposia. The
Digital Multimedia Language Lab is emphatic in preparing students for IELTS, TOEFL, BEC etc. It operates
through software called Renet Digital Multimedia Language Lab. Through this computer aided language
learning, students get to perceive native speaker pronunciation and enhance their vocabulary and
grammar.

The department is engaged in running Eco Friends Club, Science and Technology Club, Spiritual Club,
Toast Masters Club, Images, Cultural Club activities successfully for the all round development of the
students.
The Department of English provides students with an excellent education in the liberal arts one that
strikes an ideal balance between language and literature. The department is striving for enrichment of
the language, providing in depth aesthetic knowledge and developing an eagerness to appreciate the
language in its ingenuity to the students. The department caters to the development of Communication
and Soft Skills of the students ensuring the growth, grooming and nurturing of perspectives in the minds
of learners.

To hone Communication Skills of the students the department has the facility of two well equipped
Language Labs. The modern approach of teaching with technology is used to train students. The
department holds the responsibility of running various extracurricular clubs like IMAGES, READERS
CLUB besides the publication of the college magazine SKIT TIMES. The teaching staff is committed
towards achieving the vision and mission of college.
Hostel (Boys/Girls)
To facilitate outstation students, MITRC Alwar has excellent hostel facilities that provide "A home away
from home. The hostel rooms are spacious, well furnished and are provided with LAN connectivity with
24 hours internet facility, reading rooms, dailies and magazines and additional indoor sports facilities.
The hostels are equipped with generators in order to provide 24 hours electricity supply. A round the
clock security is enforced for constant vigilance and surveillance. Hostel Messes are run under the
guidance of the Hostel Wardens. Separate hostels for boys and girls, faculty and staff residence in lush
green environs provide a pleasant and right ambience and atmosphere for intellectual stimulation.


The college hostels have well equipped Medical Centre for preliminary diagnosis. There are doctors who
visit the centre at specified hours and the students can consult them without any charge. MITRC Hostels
offer a healthy environment for interacting with friends and peers. Proximity to shopping areas, banking
and medical facilities makes living convenient and comfortable

Canteen

The Cafeteria not only provides a vibrant atmosphere and unleaded fuel for the day but also put
forth a new method of knowledge sharing called the "Cafeteria approach". It is an innovative and
informal method of learning where one can debate, discuss and deliberate over a cup of coffee
and thereby actively nurture ones interpersonal skills. A well furnished and spacious Cafeteria is
located in the heart of the MITRC Alwar campus. It provides all type of nutritious and hygienic
eatables and beverages to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of students, staff and visitors.

The entire cafeteria has a pleasant ambiance making it a good hang out place for students. Being
away from home does not mean that you cannot have food that tastes as good as the stuff dished
out from moms kitchen.
