INSERT AN APPROPRIATE TITLE HERE INTRODUCTION Misinterpretation, communication barriers and the biggest issue is the language barriers. I am sure most of the people have been experienced these problems before as the world become more connected, the increase in immagrations, a lot of business abroad overseas. Therefore we have created online translator application called Nice and easy translation(NET) by using real human to operate it rather the machine or programmed on computers as this will be more efficiently and less mistakes if using human to do it. 3. BUSINESS SECTION 3.1 Vision To provide a good and accuracy work where every nations can understand each others. 3.2 Industry Analysis: Language Industry Industry: Language Industry. Language industry is the sector of activity dedicated to facillitating multilingual communication, both oral and written. Force: High/Low: Justification: Buyer power: High Buyer power is high means customers have many choices to choose and buy the product as right now online translation is become more popular because it is easier and faster rather than using dictionary. Therefore a lot of company are now trying to enter this industry. Supplier power: High As we are using a business site therefore our suppliers will be the reputable company who can created and design the site for us as we want a 3
professional to backed up for hosting. Therefore the supplier power will be high as there is not many reputable company. Threat of new entrants: High The threat of new entrants will be high because it is so easy to enter in business as it a perfect competition therefore there is no barrier for entry also the set up cost is not high as you only need webpage for customer to use it.Also for the employees or the operators who are doing the translation can be recruit from graduated student from university who are doing foreign language as it has many of them therefore it is easy to set up. Threat of substitutes: Low The threat of substitutes will be low because there is not many substitutes e.g dictionary, electridictionary and now days people trend to not using them as it took a lot of time to find words that they want and it cannot translate like a sentence. Rivalry among existing competitors: High Rivalry among existing competiors is high as I mentioned before in the buyer power as it so many companies entering into this industry e.g. livetransaction and Star TS. These two will be the biggest competitors.Star TS is the one who providing a free translation with real human doing it and for the livetransaction they have really wide range of language that they can 4
translated. Overall attractiveness of the industry: Overall language industry is pretty attractive as the language become more like a daily life now so people that have issue with the language will be using this. 3.3 Customers and Thei r Needs Our group customer would be the international company that they might require their report translated. We also provided a translation of the whole report for the business that wants their annual report to be translated for the investor overseas that would want to invest in their company. For the customers needs basiclly all of the customer want from us is the accurate translation, quick process and easy to work with. 3.4 The Product and Service Our product will be translation a report for business in other language or translate anything that people are enquiries. For our partners we could have a universities to be our partner as we could recruit new emplooyees (students who are doing foreing languages) who has graduated from the university to be our intern. 3.6 Strategy: Broad market, Cost leadership 5
In the language industry there are so many companies that doing the reports translation also we are one of them as well. Therefore customers have a high buyer power so they will trend to choose the lowest cost one. Therefore to do well in this industry we have to use the cost leadership strategy as it will achieved by driving down cost because the customer are price sensitive. We could charge the price per word for $0.09 as for the live transaction firm they charge for $0.10 per word. This is our strategy, to lower the cost than others firms. 3.7 Value Chain Activity: Marketing and sales The most important value chain activity for this business is marketing and sales. As the high competion in this industry therefore it is hard to get customers to buy our product so the marketing and sales process is souce of value here because this process is persuaded clients to buy your product rather than purchase it from our competitors. This will benefits to us as we will gain more customers. Also our strategy is cost leadership so for marketing process, we will use marketing about costs of our services that is lower than others to gain customers attraction. Also we are a new company therefore it is hard to get customers as they already using other company therefore the marketing and sales process is the one that we would be focusing on to help our company change some of the customers minds to use our services.
