Guidelines for Australian Medical

Examination by IOM


The International Organization for Migration (IOM) will conduct Health
Assessment for immigrants to Australia including: students, visitor etc. The
Medical examination will be done in all IOM clinics located in Pakistan
(addresses below).
The procedure will be as follows:

Office Working Hours


Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:15pm PST (Pakistan Standard Time)

Friday: 8:00am to 1:15pm PST (Pakistan Standard Time)


2) Appointment date and time for examination to be provided by call centre,

3) Daily appointment lists to be circulated to all IOM clinics.

4) Processing Fees are received as cash payment in the facility, At the time
of appointment, clients are told about the exact amount of fees.

5) Requirements before medical examination:
i. PVA Letter Or Medical Examination instructions from
Australian High Commission Or DIAC
ii. Medical Processing Fee is to be paid in PKR as told by the
Call Centre conforming to the rates delineated below.
iii. 3 Recent Passport photographs with light background,
correctly exposed, no expressions, clearly visible facial
features including ears, without accessories, hairs or
shadows
iv. Original Valid Passport with 2 photocopies
v. Original CNIC with 1 photocopy
vi. Any records of medical condition that may exist (optional)

6) Medical examination to be conducted by IOM panel doctors.

7) Follow-up investigations and specialist consultations to be determined by
IOM doctor, but to be paid by applicant.

8) Medical examination documents and Chest X-rays to be sent twice
weekly by IOM to VISA Processing Offices of the clients.

9) ONLY clients with abnormal findings/ abnormal Lab Results would
be contacted for further tests and post test counselling. Clients if
not contacted can assume their results to be normal.
