Dr. Paul J. Friday is Chief of Clinical Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Shadyside,
where he has been on staff for over 30 years. He has in excess of 60,000 hours of patient interactions.

In addition to his full-time clinical practice, Dr. Friday was a founding member of the Biomedical Ethics
Committee, a director of the Multi-Disciplinary Pain Program—Noninvasive Division, and a member of the
steering committee for the creation of the Center for Complimentary Medicine at UPMC-Shadyside.

Dr. Friday has been a featured keynote and motivational speaker for hundreds of business, educational, and
medical groups throughout the United States and Europe. He has appeared on hundreds of local, regional and
national radio and television programs, addressing a variety of topics and news events from a psychological
