Firstly u have 4 tests ...

1)signal test (viva )

2)slope inclined test.
3)parking test
4)Road test.
first 3 tests is not a problem ..drive carefully as instructor said ..then the last one is road test important one .
for that first of all when u entered in to the car .u have to say salam to the officer then adjust the seat distance bettwen the staering
then adjust the 3 mirrors by looking at that mirrors .central and both left and right.then put ur seat belt. then turn off the parking light
as the guy before u will turn on the parking light when he leaves the car .. then put the gear in first then slowly release the
handbrake and put the left or right indicator as per ur turn , then slowly move the car ..
mostly for the sake of good driving ,..u have to look in to the mirrors when u put left or right indicator and the look central mirror
frequently ...its too important ..officer will note down awl this ....officer will ask u too stop in the no parking area for testing u ..if u
stopped there u will fail ..then ask u to drive the car to the No entry side .be careful ...if u drive the car to the no entry side u will fail..
do careful while u enter in to the round abouts ..when officer said u to go to left at roundabout for that if u are in the right lane u have
to change it to the left lane by put the left indicator , before the 300 meters to the roundbout .(indicator is a must ) if any fail in this u
may fail ..so be careful while turn on indicator ..u have to turn off the indicator after u enterd in to the lane ..otherwise u may fail ...so
be careful with the indicator .and when u turn on indicator and change the lane ..u always lokk in to the mirror if any vehicles are
cominfg or not ..this is important because i failed beacause of this reason ..
dont be nervous stay cool :) dnt worry ...awl d best

:For Road Test:
1. Right after opening the door, greet the police "good morning/afternoon sir".
2. Hold your documents with two hands and give it to the police to show courtesy.
3. CHECK the car seat if it is close to the steering wheel and adjust it backwards so you have more space in entering.
4. Once sitted, put your seatbelt right away to avoid the chance of forgetting it.
5. Adjust your seat.kick the clutch..if not enough, adjust seat more..kick the clutch 3x so you will feel your comfortable reach. In
adjusting the seat, put one of your hands on 12 o'clock of steering wheel for support when pulling/pushing the seat.
6. Adjust your rear view mirror with TWO hands. Be sure you don't touch the glass.
7. Adjust your side mirror right/left.
8. after steps 1-7, put both hands on steering wheel. left hand-9 o'clock, right- 3 o'clock. Then say "Sir, I'm ready".
9. When the police say go, turn off hazard, turn on signal, shift to 1st gear, release handbrake. (I opt in pressing the brake before
releasing the handbrake)
10. Check all mirrors, look on your left side mirror and slowly move your car.
11. When police say "park", first thing you do is to turn on signal, check rear mirror, press brake slowly..feel your car braking
smoothly, shift to 2nd gear in proper speed, check rear & right mirror before pulling to your right.
12. observe proper spacing between the road & car. Be sure your wheel is aligned straight, car parallel to road
before stopping.
13. Once stopped, turn on hazard (turn off signal first if it's still active). Shift gear to neutral then pull handbrake.
14. Put both hands on steering wheel and wait for police to say "ok,good!" , "go", "finish"...then say "thank you". Unfasten seatbelt &
step out of car. (just an option- push your seat backward before stepping out of the car).
15. Congrats! you pass!
Important notes:
* Be aggressive- don't be afraid to step on the gas pedal!
* Observe proper speed limit- if speed limit is 50, don't go over 50 BUT DON'T BE TOO SLOW. Make your driving lively!
* Shifting - shift accordingly so the engine wont rev too loud or avoid early shifting that can "choke" engine
For smooth shifting on secondary roads/ inside subdivisions (50 km/hr speed limit)
1st gear: 0-20
2nd gear: 20-30
3rd gear: 30-40
4th gear: 40-50
5th gear: only use this on main roads
On main roads - maybe a little more aggressive depending on traffic flow.
* Breaking - Avoid hard braking except when needed. (You don't want to make the policy feel dizzy) So, keep proper distance
between vehicles. CHECK rear view mirror everytime before you brake.
Tensions & feeling nervous is normal. Just think that the police is your father & you want to drive him safely
Note: sometimes police may bluff you. If he say 'park' in a no parking zone, such as bus stop, driveway entrance,etc.. don't park!
Just say "it's not allowed here sir, I will find another spot".

Roundabouts are the cause of much consternation in Qatar, largely because they are trafficked by people who either dont know or
dont care about to use them.
Bone up on R/B savvy with these tips from Traffic Department official Ademola Gideon Ilori, who was recently interviewed by Gulf
Times:
Slow down before entering a R/B about 40km/h is a safe speed.
Dont change lanes when youre in the roundabout.
Look to your left when entering a R/B and be sure to yield to cars already inside.
Avoid driving next to large trucks. They are only allowed in the right lane of the R/B, and they may cross in front of you
instead of turning right.
Drivers who want to turn left must stay in the left lane. Do not turn left from right or middle lanes.
Dont park in the R/B its dangerous and a violating of the traffic law.
Finally, take special care when negotiating R/Bs that go from three lanes to two, Ilori said:
In a three-lane roundabout the left lane can either turn left or go straight. When the vehicle in the left lane goes straight it exits into
the left lane after the roundabout. The middle lane can only go straight and as such it exits into the right lane.
The vehicle in the right lane has no option but to yield to the vehicle exiting from the middle lane. If the right lane vehicle does not
yield and there is an accident then the right lane vehicle will be at fault, he added.

The followings are 12 points you should remember in order to succeed in the road test to obtain Qatari driving license.
1. Fixed the seat belt
2. Adjust the mirror leans thru left and right
3. Smooth starting and stopping of the vehicle
4. Keeping the car on the lane straightly while in motion
5. Observance of correct road speed limits
6. Follow road marks and signs on the road
7. Using the mirror and side mirrors while car in motion
8. Application of handbrake in parking
9. Good timing of car signal lights while turning
10. Observance of correct overtaking
11. Observance of correct distance between vehicles
12. Focus of concentration during driving
