Assistant to a Fashion Consultant Volunteer Experience, Toronto ON, September 2013 Offered the opportunity to work alongside the creative director, stylist and merchandiser for Erin Mills Shopping Mall. Responsible for gathering selected merchandise from different stores, building the set for the photo shoot, putting together outfits that will be displayed in the photo spread/ advertisement, aiding in dressing and undressing models/mannequins, and returning merchandise to stores after the shoot has been completed. The mentorship of the stylist and photographer during the shoot allowed me to fully understand the attention to detail required in retail buying and the steps necessary to style an outfit for a broad target market.
