COMPANY BACKGROUND
KAR Mobiles, established in 1974, is a manufacturer of quality valves for internal combustion
engines. It is part of the Rane group, which has business activities in the industry segments of
passenger cars, multi utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles, medium and heavy commercial
vehicles, farm tractors, three-wheelers, two-wheelers and stationary engines.
KAR Mobiles Limited is an India-based company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing
of auto components for transportation industry. The Company is engaged in the manufacture and
marketing of engine valves, collets and guides for applications in internal combustion engines.
The Company has two manufacturing plants in Bangalore and Tumkur. The Company has
collaboration with TRW Inc, the United States. The Company supplies to original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs). The Companys customers include Mirrless Blackstone, Pielstick,
Ruston and Wartsila Diesel. The Companys engine valves are used in applications ranging from
5 horsepower to 4000 horsepower engines in segments, such as agricultural / industrial /
stationary, marine, locomotives, battle tanks, farm tractors, automotive - passenger cars / light
commercial vehicle / heavy commercial vehicles and cars.
