LESSON AIM

Students will be able to count using numbers.

GUIDING CONTENTS

Students use elements like fake money, fruits figures and animals figures to count.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE(S)
SEQUENCING

By the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to count using numbers.
In the previous lesson the students worked with shapes and colours.

ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE

Learners are able to use colours and shapes to identify objects.

ANTICIPATED DIFFICULTIES

ANTICIPATED SOLUTIONS
1. We can catch their attention. We can put penances and give extra points when
someone does a penance correctly, for example: "Daniel, draw a square" if he
actually draws a square we give him a sticker or a candy.
2. We can evaluate the students with peer-assessment while we explain the topic.
3. We draw the numbers in the board and practice with the same exercises of the
web page.

number from one to ten and ten empty pieces.
When they put together the entire puzzle we give
them stickers with numbers from 1 to 10. They
should stick the stickers in the empty spaces next to
the chips that are labeled with the names of the
numbers, e.g. in the space next to the number four
they stick the sticker 4. The winner is the group that
finishes first.
2. Activity: Students complete a paper with the shapes
of the numbers names from 1 to 10. We attached
the guide to this lesson plan.

3. Interactive activity: Using the computer we practice


with an interactive exercises:
a. Match numbers 1-10 (Match the number with the
corresponding name, e.g. 10 with ten)
b. Memory game exercises (Whit a click, students
discover two cards, if one has a number and the
other represents that number with a draw, both
cards remain uncovered, but if are different both
cards remain covered).
c. Matching pairs (Students match the numbers with
the names, e.g. 2 with two)
4. Activity: The activity is called the market. The
students who won the first activity are shopkeepers.
They sell different products like pencils, notebooks,
jackets and all the things that they want sell. They
assigned the price of the objects from 1 to 10. The
other students have fake bills of 1, 2, 5 and 10. They
should to buy as many articles that they can. The
winner is the group that buys more articles.
