English or Chinese ? Which language to choose and Why ?

Language is the important tool for communication. Without learning language, there is
impossible to have communication with peoples. The big problem is when you have
conversation with foreign people that doesnt know your language at all. It is so awkward to be
in that situation. So its mean that you have to learn other language beside your mother language.
But we dont have to learn every countrys language. We can just learn the international
language which creates a mutual understanding between speaker and receiver.
English has become the international language for several years. More than two billion
people all over the world speak English and that number increases every day. English has special
or official status in more than 75 countries. About half of research journal publications in the
world use English. English is the most dominant language of diplomacy, business and science,
economy, computer and internet. It should also be noted that more than 90% of websites are
written and created in English with 80% of the data stored in the computers around the world
is in English. And now there is a statement that Chinese will replace English and become a
global language. So which is the winning language?
It is a well-known fact that Mandarin Chinese is the most commonly-spoken language on
the planet, but there is a pro against that fact. Mandarin Chinese is only really spoken in China,
whereas English speakers are spread widely throughout the world. Although China is rise to
become the worlds second largest economy and there is an expectation that it will become the
worlds largest manufacturer within the next year. But the rise in the number of users of a
language is linked to economic and political developments. The rise of English can be seen
within the historical context of the spread of the British Empire and, in more recent years, the
global importance of the US economy as well as the impact of Microsoft in computer
technology.
English is still far ahead from Chinese. Why is English become more popular than
Chinese? Because English is easier than Chinese. English is a language that is constantly
changing and growing bigger, and it includes many loanwords from other cultures. These factors
make it one of the fastest-growing languages in the world. Chinese is hard to learn, because the
structure is complex. There is a symbol that represents one syllable. And one syllable sometimes
means different meaning. So it means that learning Chinese takes a long time to be easily
pronounce, while English is not. We can learning English in easy way such as listening music,
playing game or browsing internet.
So it proved that English is the first international language, then Mandarin or Chinese is
the second. To be honest, learning Chinese is important. Who wants to blame if we can speaks
more than a language. It can also use to student exchange or in a business world. But theres no
supported reason that Chinese will replace English in a global world. So I think the winning
language is English.
