Siemens Generating Sets are mounted on a heavy-duty fabricated steel base frame with anti-vibration
rubber mountings. The Engine and Alternators are flexibly coupled, ensuring accurate alignment. The
rugged construction of Siemens Generating Sets ensures suitability for long periods of continuous
operation, to provide an essential and reliable supply of electric power.

The Mechanical and Electrical features of the Siemens Generating Sets are so designed, that make
them a globally compatible product, operating even under harsh environments and most demanding

Siemens Pakistan Engineering Co. Ltd. assembles Gensets at
its Karachi facilities employing world renowned engines &
1FC2 type alternators manufactured under license from
Siemens AG, Germany in house. This activity is continuing
since 1975. Our manufacturing is supplemented by a service
network.

At Siemens, we offer a wide range of genets with a combination
of Siemens brand world Class 1FC2 Alternators coupled with diesel engines from renowned
manufacturers. Siemens genets, available in the range of 10 kVA to 1250 kVA, are suitable for
stand-by, prime power and base load application, offering excellent value for money.

Siemens Gensets are mounted on a heavy-duty fabricated steel base frame with anti-vibration rubber
mountings. The Engine and Alternator are flexibly coupled, ensuring accurate alignment rigidity. The
rugged constructions of Siemens genets ensure suitability for long periods of continuous operation, to
provide an essential and reliable supply of electrical power.

Siemens Gensets have also been introduced successfully in other countries including Bangladesh,
Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Libya and Afghanistan. Now we are looking for the opportunities in UAE and other
Gulf states. These export opportunities, being carefully monitored for our production enhancement in
mind, being lined for business growth.

Product Category: Alternators

SIEMENS 1FC2 low voltage salient pole synchronous
Alternators with single or double bearing; able to perform with
total reliability anywhere in the world.

Features

Siemens Alternators conform to EN 60034, DIN EN 60034(VDE0530) and IEC 34, if
required, Siemens Alternators can be built to satisfy all other major international
requirements like GL, LRS, NV, ABS, etc.

Self-exited, self-regulated, brushless Alternators.

Output and speed are adapted to the requirements of the prime mover. These
Alternators are normally designed for a power factor of 0.8
lagging.

1FC2 Alternators are normally available in 400 V,
50Hz or 450 Hz versions. Other voltage ratings up to
1000V are also available upon order.

Voltage control range and hence output voltage can
be varied between 5%.

Degree of protection IP23. However other degrees of
protection like IP44 with a pipe adapter or with air-to-
water heat exchangers are also available upon
order.

Short time load rating (2 minutes), of upon 150% of the rated current.

Alternators can carry a load of 110% for one hour in six hours without suffering
damage due to overheating.

Alternators and excitation equipment are designed for a sustained three-phase short
circuit current of three times the rated current.

Designed to permit unbalanced load of upon 100% of rated current.

Insulation Class F. However, Class H insulation can be provided as an option.

It is an established fact that a reliable control mechanism is essential for smooth running of the Genset
for a longer period of time, as well as securing the product against hazard that might occur during
operation. We, therefore, design control panels that guard the gensets from hazard, thus ensuring safe
and reliable operation.

Siemens Alternators and Engine Control panels are made of sheet steel clad (IP 40), totally enclosed
cubicles, comprising the following features:

Circuit breaker of suitable rating comprising: Over-load release,
Short-circuit release, Under-voltage release.
Trip relay (for thermal sensor).

Ammeter with Current transformer of suitable range.

Frequency meter.

Voltmeter.

Voltmeter selector switch.

Sets of single pole MCBs.

Set of indication lamps for:

Generators Circuit breaker on, Generators tripped / off, Low oil pressure,
High coolant temperature, Over-crank, Over-speed.
