Nuclease activity was not detected in either of the following cases, as judged from the agarose gel
electrophoresis pattern :
1) After incubation of 1 g of DNA-Hind III fragments with 30 units of this enzyme for 16 hours at 37C.
2) After incubation of 1 g of supercoiled pBR 322 DNA with 30 units of this enzyme for 1 hour at 37C.
3) After incubation of 1 g of 16S, 23S rRNA with 18 units of this enzyme for 16 hours at 37C.
