The O Level Additional Mathematics syllabus is intended for high-ability students who have achieved or are likely to achieve a high grade in O Level Mathematics. It covers additional pure mathematics topics beyond the O Level Mathematics course and provides a suitable foundation for further study in mathematics, though students may or may not continue to AS or A Level. The exam is offered in June and November and provides a pure mathematics alternative to the former Additional Mathematics syllabus, now replaced by AS Mathematics. Support materials include the syllabus, past papers, formula sheets, and specimen papers available from CIE Publications and the Teacher Support Site. Only non-graphic calculators are permitted in the exam.
