**Lady Capulet and Montague Walk into the Funeral crying**

Montague: *sniff*sniff* I wish we could have stopped what had happened in the end.

Lady Capulet: It was their fate to die and there was nothing we could have done

Montague: There will be always that big IF floating around in my head. If this and If that.

Lady Capulet: It was their fate to die. We could have done nothing to stop it

Montague: You may be correct

Lady Capulet: Do you know what will turn your mood around?

Montague: Nothing will, my son is dead. My dear Romeo *sniff*sniff*

Lady Capulet: Knock Knock *sadly*

Montague: Whos there?

Lady Capulet: Not Juliet, Romeo, or Paris, because their dead, I am such an awful mother

*Juliet turns in her grave*

Montague: I only feel angry that my son reached the grave before I. My wife had just called
death upon herself grieving over Romeos exile just that evening I discovered Romeos death.
Maybe there was something I could have done to stop all this from happening, who do I live for
now?

Lady Capulet: This is our punishment Montague. Our hatred lasted too long; our most beloved
took their lives. I had told Juliet about the marriage that was arranged between her and Paris. I
still dont see why she did not love him. He was a man of wax, who loved her dearly. I was very
fond of him as you may conclude. His death was also such a shock to me.

Montague: Im sorry to hear that but look at us now standing side by side our two families
realized our wrong-doings, and joined hands as we grieve for each others losses.

Lady Capulet: That is true dear Montague. Look here comes Friar Lawrence.

*Friar Lawrence approaches*

Friar Lawrence: Montague, Lady Capulet. How do you do?

Lady Capulet and Montague: Very Well.

Friar Lawrence: Thats good! Please have a seat.

Lady Capulet: Alright

**random noise in the background**a moment later*
** Friar Lawrence goes to the front**

Friar Lawrence: Fellow citizens of Verona. Sadly, we have lost 2 of our best men and a very
beautiful young lady. The death of Paris was very sad. I shall tell what I had learned from
Balthasar who was there when the tragedy occurred. Paris wanted sometime to grieve Juliets
death, when Parris heard Romeo and Balthasar approaching he hid. He watched as Romeo
began to open Juliet's tomb. Paris angered by Romeos appearance, comes forward and
declares a challenge with Romeo. Romeo and Paris fought. Paris falls to the ground requesting
Romeo to lay his body beside Juliets. How nice, isnt it. I heard Paris is nice this time of year, I
guess Ill never know.

**Paris turns in his grave**People Laugh**

Friar Lawrence: Romeo went to Juliet's tomb and grieved over her once more, and finally, in the
throes of sorrow, Romeo drank his deadly poison after stealing one final kiss. When I arrived I
saw Romeo and Pariss dead bodies on the cold heartless ground. It was then I noticed Juliet
awakening. Unfortunately it was I, who had to inform her about her beloved husband.

*Sniffs**

Friar Lawrence: I begged Juliet to come with me, but she refused to come with me she wanted
to stay with her dear Romeo. I left for a moment and she had stabbed herself with her
husbands dagger. Now we will hear some words from the man himself, Montague.

**Friar Lawrence steps aside and Montague comes to the front**

Montague: Where to begin, where to begin? Oh Romeo was so full of life until he died.

**Romeo turns in his grave**

Montague: Romeo was such a romantic man. Always falling in love with these girls, but
something about Juliet had never left his mind. He was love struck by her beauty. He had
become a different man when he was with Juliet. I guess he was happy and not in sorrow over
the girl before Juliet who had not loved him back. It is truly a shame that my son had reached
the grave before I. It is horrible how high the price has been paid for peace to be restored in
Verona. But what has happened has happened. As this was predetermined, It was their fate and
nothing could have changed it. Before I pass the spotlight to the mother of Juliet, Lady Capulet,
I would like to hope that every citizen in Verona will learn something from the history Romeo
and Juliet.

Lady Capulet: Thank You Montague! Every mother who has lost her child will understand the
pain I am going through. But to be told that my daughter once dead, was again warm and yet
dead again in just a single night, kills me. She couldn't even tell her own mother about her
plans. My husband and I were once again dealing with her death and Pariss as well. Juliet was
in love, but not with the man I chose for her. She had grown to be an independent young
woman who made her own choices. Her Decisions were not the most intelligent, but they were
hers and I will try to accept her choices that led to her death as something close to heroic. Juliet,
you might not be present with us physically, but I know and truly believe you are a star up in the
sky, watching us and you should know that your story will be engraved in our hearts forever.

**Gets off the stage crying**Friar Lawrence returns to the front**

Friar Lawrence: May we now have a moment of silence to remember Romeo, Juliet and Paris

**moment of silence**
