Chapter 1

Introduction

Students nowadays are all updated with different technologies. But it is
not enough because there are things that cant be done with the use of gadgets they
own to they are confused to the rooms assigned to them especially on the first day of
school. They get lost and sometimes attend the class which not intended for them. With
regards to this problems which they are common to the freshmen students and
transferees mapping is important. This project helps students a lot with simply looking
for the map.


Objectives of the Study

General Objective

The study aims to help the students but also the visitors and transferees
who are not familiar with the map of the school. This helps them looking for someone
such as faculty, staff, personnel and other facilities and buildings and offices of different
colleges by means of our project. We are encouraged to do this project in order to help
them without consuming time and other disturbances.

Specific Objective

The aim of the study is to develop a (Software/System) entitled Bulacan
State University Enhanced Mapping Guide Using AutoCAD which is expected to
improve the mapping guides of Bulacan State University to help those people that
currently working and studying in this university specially the freshmen students which
is definitely not familiar on the said place. Time is important to every students and this
project helps them to consume time whenever they look for the rooms assigned to
them.

Significance of the Project

The study aims to make (Software/System) that helps the users to find the place
in Bulacan State University and the researchers believed that the study will be beneficial
to the following.


Students The (system/software) is expected to help the students, specially the
freshmen or first year students which not really familiar about the rooms, buildings and
offices of Bulacan State University. Every one of us are aware how difficult to enroll in
the university. Many processes and different offices what more for those new students
since this (Software/System) includes directory, it might help the students for finding
the place easily and for them to not be misguided in enrollment process. This also help
them to locate easily the room assigned without using more of their just to find them.

Visitors The (system/software) is helpful to those who are not familiar with the
different facilities of the school. They can easily check the location of whatever place or
persons they look for. They dont need to ask someone or the guards on duty because it
is like spotting the place similar to big department store like SM.





Scope and Delimitation of the Project

The Bulacan State University Enhanced Mapping Guide Using AutoCAD which
includes the following;
Physical Map
Room Directory
Zoom in/out and rotating capability
Search Engine
Touch Screen Monitor

The software/system has no capability to show the schedule of students
regarding their subjects and rooms. This is due to the options of changing the schedule
and unavailability of some professors.



Notes in Chapter

We come up with the project because of our past experience. We find it difficult
to locate our room and we consume more time and looked for it if in case there is map
(guide) it is definitely help us and other students. This project helps student to lessen
their confusement especially the freshmen students. The proponents of this project fully
believe that this materialized for the benefits of many.
