Dear Paola Lopreiato,

Thank you for your submission to the SEAMUS 2012 National Conference. Congratulations, I am
pleased to inform you that the judges have recommended that your work vita interiore (inner life) be
accepted for presentation on Thursday 2/9. Your work was one of 115 music, video, paper, and
installation submissions chosen for programming out of 489 total submissions.

Please be advised that your acceptance is contingent on your willingness to provide your own performers
if you indicated your intent to do so on your submission form. If you requested that SEAMUS 2012
provide performers and/or special equipment, we will be in touch shortly to request scores/parts and
discuss technical needs.

Attendance at the conference is required for your work to be presented. Confirmation that you will attend
the SEAMUS 2012 National Conference must be received by email (seamus2012@lawrence.edu) by
Thursday December 1st. If we do not hear from you by this date, another work will be programmed in
place of yours.

Online registration will soon be available at www.seamusonline.org. Conference registration fees are
$140 for members, $175 for non-members, and $75 for students (members and non-members). The
Friday evening banquet will cost an additional $35. The deadline to register for the conference is Friday
January 12th. Participants may register for the conference after this date, but a late fee of $40 will be
added to your registration fee.

Specific instructions for sending high-quality media files of your work will be posted shortly at
http://blogs.lawrence.edu/seamus2012/. You will be contacted when the instructions are available. In
the mean time, please note the following points regarding media files:
! All fixed media audio works will be played from a conference computer and must be in a 48
kHz/24 bit format. We will convert files that are not sent to us in this format.
! All fixed media video works must be mailed to us as video DVDs and will be played from a
conference DVD player.
! If your work incorporates interactive/real-time electronics, you must bring your own laptop and
audio interface.
! Please plan to bring a back-up copy of all media files to the conference.

I encourage you to check http://blogs.lawrence.edu/seamus2012/ often for conference information and
updates. Please contact us if we can be of any assistance as you are planning your visit to Wisconsin.
We look forward to seeing you in February for a great conference!
