About the Conference

The power sector in India is today poised for augmentation and change in a big way. With the
increased focus on turning around the sector into a commercially viable and self-sustainable one,
the need for strengthening the distribution systems and enhancing revenue streams is receiving
the highest priority. The Utilities are also providing a focused effort towards this.
Keeping pace with the developments in the sector, the conference aims to provide the participants
an understanding on the Distribution reforms, electricity distribution in present systems and
practices, exposure to the latest trends and technology advances, identification and design of
improvement projects for system augmentation, AT&C loss evaluation and reduction schemes,
improvement in reliability and overall consumer satisfaction.
The discovered smart grid concept enables us an access to an efficient way for solving the issues
of environment protection, energy saving, emission reduction and renewable energy resources
problems, which coincides with our conference goal.

NCPD - 2014
The conference will be held with theme Develop a Smarter electricity supply system. The
National conference will provide you a chance to discuss on distribution system planning, design,
