1. GOAL
Students are able to listen and response introducing oneself and someone to other people.

2. OBJECTIVE

Students will be able to understand introducing oneself and someone to other people.

2.2 ENABLING OBJECTIVE
Students will be able to identify information about introducing oneself and someone to
other people.
Students will be able to express how to introducing oneself and someone to other people.

4. PROCEDURE
4.1 OPENING (5 Minutes)
Greeting, praying and class administration.
In the last meeting, the topic is about greeting and leave taking expression that we can
relate to introducing oneself and someone to other people. In this meeting, students learn
about listening and how to response information about introducing oneself and someone
to other people.

4.2 MAIN ACTIVITIES
Exploration (20 minutes)
Students answer the questions which lead them to the topic.
a. When you meet a person for the first time meeting, what will you say? (Introduce
yourself, say your name, address or shake his/her hand)
b. How you introduce someone to your friend?

Teacher explains the way to introduce oneself and someone to other people.

Introducing someone to other people
Hi, Leo. This is Billy.
Rina, please meet my friend, Suci.
May introduce you to Imam?
Hello Mina, let me introduce you to Kiki.

Elaboration (40 minutes)
a. Students listen to short dialogue.
Robby : Hi, are you a new student?
Lion : Yes, I am.
Robby : My name is Robby.
Lion : My name is Lion.
Robby : Where are you from?
Lion : Im from Indonesia and where are you from?
Robby : Im from London.
Lion : Anyway, let me introduce you to my sister.
Robby, she is my sister. Her name is Lia.
Lia, this is my new friend. His name is Robby.
Lia : Hi, Robby.
Robby : Hi, Lia.
Lion : Nice to meet you, Robby.
Robby : Nice to meet you too, Lion.

b. Students answer some questions about the dialogue while listening to dialogue.
Who is a new student?
Where is Robby from?
Where is Lion from?
Who is introduced by Lion? Whats her name?
What does Robby say when he is leaving?

c. Teacher shows other expressions of introducing oneself, greeting other people, leave
taking/closing.
d. Students draw conclusion.
Confirmation (20 minutes)
Students listen to another dialogue and complete the blanks.
a. Listy : Hello, Im Listy.
Ratih : Hello, Listy. Im Ratih.
Listy : .. (Are you a new student?)
Ratih : Yes, I am.
Listy : Welcome to our school.

b. Miss Ina : Im Miss Ina. . (Whats your name, boy?)
Riko : Hello, Miss Ina. Im Riko.
Miss Ina : I live in Padang. . (Where do you live, Riko?)
Riko : I live in Pariaman. . (Let me introduce you to my
mother.)
Mom, this is Miss Ina.
Mother : Hello, Miss Ina. Im Ratna.
Miss Ina : Hello, Mrs. Ratna. How are you?
Mother : . (Pretty good), thank you and how about you?
Miss Ina : Im fine. Thank you.

4.3 CLOSING (5 Minutes)
Reflection: students give their opinion about the activity they have undergone.
