1. Requirements for the download of log files from green energy controller:
Laptop LAN crossed cable SMU Software, (latest version 1.11) that allows your PC to communicate with the controller.
2. Configuration of pc and network connection
In the windows 7 taskbar choose Start >> Control panel >> Network and Sharing Center
Open the Control panel:
Open the Network and Sharing Center:
When the window opens go to the change adapter setting:

Window Local Area Connection Properties will popup. Go to Internet Protocol Version 4 and open it:
Insert in IP the address 192.168.1.10 and just click on subnet mask, the value 255.255.255.0 will appear:
Activate the entered TCP/IP configuration by clicking: OK (on the panel: Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties.

3. Installation of SMU on your laptop Install SMU on your laptop
4. Connect PC to green energy controller
Connect the PC via a CROSSED LAN cable to the Ethernet port of the green energy controller (RJ45 LAN Ethernet port, on the right side of the controller).
5. Starting SMU Start SMU software by double clicking the icon in your desktop OR in Start >> All Programs >> Oem.Teso.SMU Window Load New Application will pop up. Choose as load New Application: SampleApp and press OK. If all previous steps were followed, the following screen will be visible:
Press Ok The MAIN PANEL of the NGEC configuration tool is now opened

In the lower part of the window you can see the Connection Information TCP/IP connection = OPEN Total Modbus Successes: increasing counter Total Modbus Errors: should be 0
If this value is increasing, you better close the SMU tool and start it up again; it means you are not connected to controller.
Log in to controller, Under Login, choose Engineer and insert engineer as password

6. Download & Log Files
All log files are to be stored in separate memory in the PLC to the application. Log files are to be in CSV format and be retrievable by FTP (either with SMU of third party FTP Client).
If SMU is used, after log in, press view or download log files.
If an external FTP client is used (recommended, faster than SMU if a large number of files are to be retrieved), log in to the controller using IP address 192.168.1.100. Port, user & password blank. 2 types of log files can be downloaded from the controller :
DATA log files: Dyyyy-mm-dd-xx.csv

The saved CSV files can be opened with EXCEL or with the VIEW LOG FILE button on the SMU tool. As soon as the file reaches it maximum size of 16 Kb the file is closed and written to the controller flash memory and a new file is created. The complete memory size is 32 Mb
Event Logging
Defined events: Triggering of alarms Resetting of alarms Generator(s) start Generator(s) stop Grid available Grid unavailable The following data shall be recorded whenever one of the above defined events occurs: Event type (as above) Date Time Application Version
The following data will be recorded in an event log daily at Midnight (00:00). Total generator energy for that day (kWh) Total grid energy for that day (kWh) Total solar energy for that day (kWh) Total wind energy for that day (kWh) Total energy used by load for that day (kWh) If air conditioning is enabled Air-conditioning runtime in minutes for that day
Performance (Data) Logging The following data shall be recorded in a data log at every interval as defined by the LOG_RATE parameter:
