I. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course intends to understand and apply grammatical rules for effective communications targeting the WRITING SKILL. It categorizes the language Functions of the Verbs, Agreement of Verbs with Subjects,Prepositions,Conjunctions, and Interjections it defines and identifies the difference between Phrases and Clauses, Fragments and Sentences and as well as the correct usage of Different punctuations. It is also designed to develop writing skills with coherence, brevity, and cohesiveness. II. DESIRED LEARNING RESULTS EXPECTED FCIERS GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES (EFGA)
Communication Enhancement Communicate with the stakeholder using the second language (English) correctly and efficiently. Skills Development Compose some literary pieces/paragraph by following the Grammatical rules. III. FINAL OUTPUT/FINAL PERFORMANCES At the end of the course, students are expected to write composition with coherence and cohesiveness following the Rules of the agreement of verbs with subject and tenses of the verb and as well as other Grammatical Rules.

1. Students are not allowed 18 hours [20% of the total hours] of absences, inclusive tardiness. All absences after this shall Excessive absences which is equivalent to drop or 70%. 2. Three consecutive absent is equivalent to (1) ABSENT 3. Assignment, projects must be submitted before the class begins, unless otherwise directed. 4. Special make-up written outputs such as long quizzes, assignments, activities, will be given only if you have justifiable reason/s for failing to submit them; 5. Special major exams will be given one week after the administration of the regular major exam; 6. No Cellphone is allowed during class except for emergency purposes only; the students are advice to put their cellphone in a silent or vibration mode during class hour. 7. Encouragement to discuss class-related concerns the instructor.
