Communication Subrack 560CSR01
Application
The communication sub rack 560CSR01 is
designed to accept the CMUs (CMU =
communication unit) of a RTU560 remote terminal
unit.
The 560CSR01 is installed in a swing frame cabinet
or in a frame.
The communication sub rack is prepared to take the
power modules, communication modules, real time
module and a bus communication module. All
necessary connections between the modules are
done via the backplane.
All connections to the outside are done via their
connectors on the front panel. The communication
sub rack itself has no connections to the outside.
Characteristics
The 19 board rack has a height of 3 HE for single
eurocard format boards (DIN 41494). There are
11 slots available for the installation of the boards.
Allocation of the Slots:
h 2 slots for redundant power modules. Each
module 2 units width.
h 8 slots for communication modules. Each
module 2 units width.
h 1 slot for real time clock module or a bus
connection unit. 1 unit width.
For the physical interfacing of boards edge
connectors of type F (DIN 41612) are used, which
are directly soldered to the printed circuit board. All
signals of the RTU560 system bus are connected
with this connectors. The communication sub rack
itself has no other connections.
Mounted to the communication sub rack 560CSR01
the 4 pole DIL switch S1 is to configure the internal
RTU560 system bus and the address switching for
the communication subrack.
