The Town of Morinville, close to the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert, is a vibrant,
growing rural community developed on the foundations of rich heritage. With a
population of 7,636, and an operating budget of $8.4 million, Morinville has a healthy

The Town of Morinville has the following exciting career opportunity available:
Chief Financial Officer/ Director of Corporate Services
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief Financial Officer/Director Corporate Services
provides guidance and overall leadership for the planning and operation of corporate service functions
including Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems & Technology and Legislative Services.
As the Chief Financial Officer for the Town, the incumbent ensures accurate preparation and
analysis of financial reports and contributes to the overall strategic direction of fiscal policies,
planning and services including:
• Financial planning and budgeting • Accounting and reporting
• Financial policies and procedures • Tax assessment and collection
• Asset and risk management.
As a member of the executive team, the Chief Financial Officer/Director participates in the
development and operationalizing of the vision, strategy and goals of the Town of Morinville.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a university degree in business and a professional
accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) supplemented by six to ten years of related senior
municipal financial and administrative experience including leadership responsibilities. An
equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Salary Range: $74,984 to $107,120
