Benefits:
Maximum strength to diameter ratio
Tailored lubrication
Low rotation
Reduced elongation
Superior crush resistance
Long service life
High Performance Ropes
HydraPlus, the next generation of precision engineered multi-
stand ropes deliver exceptional low rotation performance and
provide the highest strength to diameter ratio within the
Hydra range.
Ideal for the large capacity multi-layer winching
arrangements typical to sophisticated offshore heavy-lift
cranes and subsea deployment winches, the robust Dyform
construction provides high radial stiffness and superior crush
resistance.
Excellent multi-layer spooling characteristics and resistance
to crushing are essential for reliable rope performance in
these applications where load is applied directly to the reeled
rope on its storage winch which can create considerable
radial forces, crushing the underlying lower layers.
The right rope lubrication is vital to reliable performance,
thats why we tailor the lubrication applied in the manufacture
of our Hydra range to deliver optimum lubrication over a wide
range of operating temperatures including elevated
temperatures typical to heave compensation systems.

deployment ropes from Bridon, a brand proven in the most
demanding global Oil & Gas applications.

n Offshore single layer traction winches
Benefits:
Optimised strength to weight ratio
Tailored lubrication
Low rotation
Long service life
High Performance Ropes
The Big Hydra is the original deepwater deployment rope
for Single-layer offshore deployment winches and offers an
optimised strength to weight ratio.
Increasing deployment depths mean that the impact of
suspended rope weight can severely reduce available
winch capacity. The Big Hydra provides excellent strength
to weight ratio to maximise winch capacity for single layer
traction winch applications including pipelay abandonment
& recovery equipment.
The right rope lubrication is vital to reliable performance,
thats why we tailored the lubrication used in the
manufacture of our Hydrarange to deliver optimum
lubrication over a wide range of operating temperatures
including elevated temperatures typical to heave
compensation systems.
Premium quality low-rotation, multi-strand ropes for
demanding Oil & Gas applications, Bridon the benchmark
for reliability.
